definately needs to be in english, would make the show alot more interesting for us who dont have a clue what he's saying.

once a fortnight would be better, but with the same amount of preperation time imo- should mean the show gets a bit more variety.

plus pretty much everything Ian^ said.

Agreed. If this were to happen, I'd probably listen to it every week instead of once every three or four months.

Glorious!!

But... Lets keep the usual arguments to a minimum in this thread.

he has a point. i think a guest dj mix every week wuld make it better and more interesting rather than just ARMINOMGZ0rZPROMORIPZ

edit: may i add that the guests cant just be armada gimps every week like perry o neil and co.

id like to point out many flaws in that statement and why i think its rather invalid. a reason is in no way a vsti nor a vst compatable host. and your right on one thing reason tracks all sound like the same over produced sounds. and if something is well produced but doesnt sound good then well its not well produced. many many people that produce with hardware sound even more then same. how about how the supersaw whores with their jp8000-jp8080s i think thats shit. and theres a large number of very very well produced and intense unknown tracks produced by many people that spend majority of their time producing and working on their theory. ive heard many many good tracks produced by people and their tracks by far make even the most profensional tracks sound like ass. however i agree most tracks that you hear are shit but thats reguardless of what is used in the production proccess. just thought id point this out becuase i think that the quote is a rather retarded quote and shows that neither you nor the orginal poster have any clue about the topic they are sputtering out shit about.

Posted by Asperge on Jan-20-2005 16:20:

What Ian said, make it a monthly show, in English. It doesn't cost Armin as much time as it did and the quality of the show will rise again.

Posted by jonze on Jan-20-2005 16:23:

ive only been listening for the past couple of months on and off. the show seemed to get repetitive sometimes (how many weeks in a row was jump the next train played?) so maybe having the show every other week would be a good idea. also, having a quality guest mix (like the matthew dekay guest mix) would help the show. im sure armins made a few friends over the years that would do guest mixes for the show.

++ Return of XXL's!
++ even XL's
+ Just get back On Air!

A English Show would be alot better then a Dutch one, cause of the fan basis... More English peeps tuned in then Dutch I think.
But then again, it would loose apart of the ASOT soul I do believe.

And what ever Radio Station it's on, i t m u s t h a v e High-Quality Stream MoS

yeah, I think people think that we hate armin, but we just got hookd when he played quality & noticed the drop to the point where we complain about it, the fact we all liked him before proves we dont hate him

Posted by UWM on Jan-20-2005 17:20:

Is there somewhere to respond to this where he might actually read the responses? I'd actually have some constructive things to offer regarding the show.

Posted by DickieThijssen on Jan-20-2005 17:24:

Thank you Armin! Come back soon, we miss you

Posted by Zombie0915 on Jan-20-2005 17:33:

I think its really cool of him to even be taking our input like this.

One thing I really like about armin is that he goes the extra mile to please his fans.

I want to hear more ameteur tunes that are made solely for listening pleasure instead of tailor made to fint in an ASOT set.

I want the show to come on a station that plays better music than ID&T and 99% of the rest of the mass media stations, even if that means less exposure.

Posted by ZxZDeViLZxZ on Jan-20-2005 17:41:

whats ADOT... yes i know mike it was totally random. and your right not all reason tracks sound the same just majority of them sound exactly the same. plus there are inharrent problems with reason that make it a shotty host.

Who's flaming? Me? Yes, thank you, I will; idiot. Funny how your post is one of the first in this thread to include a cuss word.

Now, crawl back into whatever hole you came from, where our criticism can't reach your Armin-whoring ass.

And yes, I'm aware of how ironic this post is.

Forum on his website.

Cool, that news cheered me up

As previously mentioned im glad he's open to suggestions, and keeps in touch with his fan base, whether or not the show was run as a voice for labels or for the fans, it still made him work hard every week for free. Good to see he's not out of touch
