Excellent news. I thought they would never come back to the States. That will certainly mark my return to the NY nightlife.

Posted by partyhopper on Jan-22-2005 17:53:

actually Blank & Jones were in Cali (and probably other places out west) in November, but this is the first time I've heard of them coming to NYC, and perhaps the east coast for that matter

hehe, avalon does suck!

I also am not crazy about Avalon, but I dont think Ive ever seen anyone post anything positive about it. Either its too packed, or too many asians or its a sausagefest. Either way, Its about the DJ's. Im not gonna wait another year or two to see these guys come to the Eastern United States and hope that they schedule at Spirit. I will suffer the scene, but enjoy and luv the music! To me, any big name DJ that is currently spinning well is worth the crappy environment of Avalon.

I'm on the way

Just got back. A night of classic cuts. I think Blank & Jones spun every song they produced or are known for including from their classic mixes like trance energy 2002. I got's to sleep so I'll chat more tomorrow.

It was fun though....

Posted by partyhopper on Feb-12-2005 10:49:

Stupendous time!
They played from 2 am to 5 am.
Interesting how one of them (I'm not sure who was who) spun with Final Scratch, then took turns doing each track with the other, who spun with CD's.
It's a shame there weren't more TA's there.

After the end of their set, the coat check line was a bit crazy though.

Too bad Wolfsheim - Wondervull (Blank & Jones Remix) wont see a vinyl release. Piet told me only 2 other people besides them have it. Tiesto & PvD.

awsome fukin night
ive been waiting 5 years to see these guys and they were worth the wait
they started out with some great trance no progressive stuff and for 3 hours everyone was in a state of trance
only bad thing is that they trainwrecked a few times, but music selection was on point all their classics
includeing nightfly (requested by yours truely) for their final song
good to see a few trance addicts there
p.s ddr2k4 ur a lucky bastard you get all these free vinyl
first one from marco v now from blank and jones ha ha thats awsome

that is where you are wrong my friend. It is not just about the music if it where you could just as easly sit at home and listen to it in your headphones. But instead people opt to go to the clubs for the atmosphere.. Avalon sucks id ill never go there to have my ears ringings for 5 days afterwords. Or to be humped by some juice head doing the punch dance... Let not forget the dirty old asians dude(though it is funny to watch them do the siezure dance)...

exactly how I think of the scene. I can care less for the scene, the scene is how it stands. But I am truely out there for the DJs.

Classic Set last night. Love the oldies they dropped.
Ahh..
Beautiful Things
Born Slippy
Wondervull
Synthathesia (sorry if I spelled it wrong)

lmao, you got a point there..

But what can you do man? the club itself should up their status, that's true. and them people rolling shitface shaking their heads 70MPH left and right... something needs to be done about that.. I'm asian myself, but like..what the hell... why can't they, if they really have to roll, roll more civilized... it makes us Asians look bad.......

anyways. +1 for your post as well.

lmao, tell me about it.

i remember one time at Avalon, when Dimitri from Paris came through to Avalon, this asian guy, mid-40's? was rolling shitface on stage, and apparantly, he was swinging his head as all shitface rollers do, and I look away to look into the crowd, then out of nowhere, something sharp hits my shoulder, I turn around, it's that ****** lying on the floor. apparantly, he fell off the stage.

lmao, wtf.
