i would go with nou, with that it will be different for different carts, not to mention DJ styli which i think are usually made of graphite anyway. the stiffness of the stylus will affect the pressure applied, as will the shape of the stylus.

interesting article, but i feel it generalises too much to be the be all and end all on record wear
