It's Japanese I think.

The most expensive though is Mishima Beef. Hundreds of dollars a steak... they never ever let the cows move, and just let them get fat and tender. Supposedly it's the best beef in the world.

I hate red meat though. I can't stand steak unless it's really really well done. Any bloody taste in the steak just makes me sick. I love pork though. I had an amazing pork roast for dinner tonight, and I'll probably fry the leftovers up with some onions, garlic, and vegetables tomorrow. Pork chops are great too... put em in a casserole dish with some celery, a can of cream of mushroom soup, some soy sauce, and spices. Sooooo good.

Beef is nasty, nasty shit though. Pork for life.

Argentinian steaks are the BEST IN THE WORLD!!!

I agree with you 100% about Argentinian steak is DA BOMB!!!

For years, I used to argue that the best prepared pork chops surpass the taste of the most amazingly grilled steaks. I'm finally admitting defeat ever since I first had Argentinian beef steak several times while I was down in Chile about 2 years ago.

I don't what it is? But, it has to be the supreme cut of the beef cattle found in South America or something. No joke, the fucken Argentinian steaks were orgasmic every time I had it. Admittedly, I have never had steaks nearly as good the ones I had down in Chile because of the Argentinian beef.

Fuck this thread, now I'm starving and all I'm munching on is pretzels. Damn it's time to treat myself to some steak and lobster!

P.S. Does anybody know of a good Argentinian steakhouse in Toronto or GTA??? Of course I know the beef won't be the same, but I'd love to relive the exquisite taste of Latin cuisine.

Resident TA Frankie the Butcher says,

Vast Majority of Beef you purchase is AAA Albertan Beef.
Eat it if you like your meat....I support all Canadian beef cuz own beef industry took a licking the past few years with the americans shutting us down.
They have more mad cow problems than us they just cover it everytime....we canadians are not liars.

I feel our beef is very safe and support it with passion.

I take steak anyday.

Esp if I trim it and its a Poterhouse.

RJ, are you in for some serious steak soon?

This thread is kinda funny, considering I have a butcher shop in the basement of my appt It used to be my grandpa's business, but now it's just a room filled with old knives, a butcher block, a meat grinder, etc.. all have ~20 year old dried blood on them

I hate when steak when its all red blah! Guess thats why I like porkchops more lol

I'll go with the beef: rare to raw.

Dallas: please hon, do not base your position with pork products on how Paris and Nicole manufactured them. We'll have to have a talk. I'll set you back on the right track if anyone can. For me, I'll eat anything pork EXCEPT pork chops (I'll eat those too, but I've never eaten one I've really liked). If you eat any pork at all, I suggest trying pork products that come from the loin cut (backbacon is an example; also, I know we (Schneiders) make a pork loin sliced luncheon meat on our 1890 label that is definitely worth trying).

Cuzo: you and RJ and I should have steak sometime soon

Posted by starsearcher on Jan-26-2005 15:14:

Why choose?

I like both!
