I looked at flights....

I looked at the amount of stuff I wanted to take to Miami...

Looked at getting strip searched and going through security in the airports...

Talked with a few friends...

We are renting a car and driving down.........total cost for the trip per person....$110....including gas!

Plus, I love road trips!!!

well i think we have just decided to drive down yet again this year. Even though it is a 12 hour ride we wont have to rent a car or take a cab every where and i'll have some extra cash in my pocket.

I guess if you're not drunk, driving is fine...

^^ Driving from Atlanta isnt all that bad but if you decided to drive you would need a jagger bomb every 10th exit.

If anybody still needs tickets, there is a sale going on with some airlines @ bestfares.com. Flights from DC to Fort Lauderdale are $98 roundtrip + tax on AA.

I got down there just fine with a joint in '01 and '02.

Montreal - Miami and back on Air Canada CAN$425.

drove all the way to miami, twice. last minute, spur of the moment kind of thing, made the decision in -40 degrees kind of wheather, when really sick of it and in need of sun and beach.

it took 26 hours but it's way too tiring. wanna get there in top shape this time.

yeah, we're cold five months a year over here.
we were four driving though so it wasn't that bad and went through the seasons change. from mountains of snow and freezing wheather to palm trees and bathing suits.

it's the drive back that just kills you...

flying down this time.

and not sure I'd ever drive for that long again but when you're broke and just wanna get to the 'closest' beach, gotta do whatcha gotta do.

it's a great city, a lot of partying, a lot of cool, fun people, but it's so f****ing cold!! I for one, just haven't gotten used to it. in almost 15 years of living here.

I can't wait to come down for the conf in ... 6 weeks is it?

but, if you do decide to come back, let me know. if it's a good night somewhere, I'd be happy to hang out.

actually was thinking of coming down to NY for one of the Sasha nights at Crobar. Kind of busy at work though these days, don't know if I'll make it before miami. Last time I was in NY was ... March I think. wow, almost a year ago already. Probably due for another visit soon.

used to go more often back in the Twilo days (which coincidentally were the crazy partying days as well , slowed down a bit lately).

will certainly stop by and say hello!
