AGAIN...

WHY AM I BACK ON THE TIESTO BANDWAGON!

lol RUN Jon, RUN FAST.

I don't want to see this...I'm sure it'll be good for those who love Tiesto but like Ishkur says if you like trance I wouldn't bank on loving the dvd too much. His solo sets of years past were a LOT better than from what I've seen in the TIC series...meh. As for when I saw him in Dec? I had fun but it wasn't because of Tiesto. The last half hour/hour of the set was good but the rest =

I DO look forward to Armin's DvD or seeing the Ferry Corsten one off Right of Way. Hopefully they're closer to how PvD's Global was...about the CULTURE of dance music as opposed to JUST the artist themselves...the artist is just a conduit for the art...imo Tiesto just doesn't do it anymore as an artist (IMO) that is all...

good one!!!

I called HMV downtown today before they opened and they said they didn't receive it yet but are scheduled to get it today....why does this sound all too familiar

Hopefully they'll be on track today!

Posted by starsearcher on Feb-15-2005 20:19:

of course the usual HMV bullshit...

"hhmmm...eer....yeah we were SUPPOSED TO ge it today but nothing came in...eerr...."

Why do you post these release dates if you KNOW you never get it in time...*insert Napoleon Dynamite voice* GOSH...IDIOTS!

OK looks like MAYBE HMV 333 Yonge St. has it..but the guy on the phone sounded like an idiot and I don't trust him. Can anyone comfirm?

Does anyone care?

I think everyone should include a DVD/music video with their audio CD. It certainly adds much value to buying the product and I most definitely would purchase more music if this were the case.

Oh, and i'm off to buy Ferry Corsten Right of Way CD, and I might take a look at Tiesto to.

+1 to whomever said they wanted an Armin van Buuren DVD as well!

Posted by jon jon on Feb-16-2005 13:49:

I bought it over the weekend. The main DVD is actually quite boring, 2+ hours of Tiesto banging it out. No editing in the tracks, the music is continuous. Quasi interesting at times, when you're really stoned. Otherwise gets a 5/10 from me. Nice to see a big show DVD quality tho!

The second disk is equally boring, and listening to Tiesto ramble on about how great is gets tired quick. "blah blah blah Magik evening, I'm so Magik, Magik is the theme, blah blah"

MEH !

Posted by starsearcher on Feb-16-2005 14:23:

^^^ I think you bought TIC DVD 1...TIC DVD 2 came out yesterday....hhmmm only 1 DVD though...double check

Posted by jon jon on Feb-16-2005 14:25:

Dude, I bought this years. I'm in the UK and that may make a difference. It's been out here for two weeks fool!

Posted by StereoPrincess on Feb-16-2005 14:27:

*starsearcher wishing he lived in the UK, to be the first one in line to purchase TICII.*

Having both a Canadian and a British passport rocks, just too bad it doesn't come with cheap airfare from YYZ <-> LHR.

That is true...even though I don't have a British passport. Actually flying to London is probabbly one of the cheapest international flights you can find. Although I'm always amazed how it's cheaper to fly Europe to North America and how expensive it is to do the opposite

Ah I see...the one we have here is "all regions" one...whatever that means...code 9 I think (I'm at work now don't remember for sure). Either way it's all good...I can play the different DVDs on my laptop but no worries i'll get a hold of it somehow

Computer DVD players play all formats (for those who don't know -- I found out fairly recently )

Posted by Chris Allen on Feb-16-2005 15:57:

Yesterday was to be the release of TIC2004. However, not ONE music store here in London, Ontario had it. NOT ONE. All the shipments never made it by the end of the day.

BOO.

WORD! Involvah!

Posted by Chris Allen on Feb-21-2005 21:55:

Did anybody notice this DVD label and chapter marking is wrong?

Chapter 12 goes on for 2 songs and the label completely misses "Tiesto - Athena"

Goes to show what happens when you rush production

Other than that though...I was right, the camera angles are way too mucha at times but it's DAMN good other than that.
