| Originally posted by Miss Julia I've been trying to move to Canada for a while now. I went to the immgration office in Hamilton to get info. Basically, my options to be able to move here are: a) Marry a Canadian citizen, but he would have to own property, and you would still have to pay a huge fee to obtain a Canadian citizenship. b) Apply for a work permit. A business owner would have to sponsor you to work for their company, but they would have to prove to the immigration that there is no one else in all of Canada who could fulfill that position. c) Apply for a student visa. As a US citizen though, you do not qualify for financial aid or loan (unless it's a personal loan through a bank). This means that you would have to pay the full tuition of an immigration student, which is ridiculously expensive. So unless you are stinking rich, this is not a good option. In conclusion, if you are thinking of moving to Canada, IT'S NOT GONNA BE EASY... AT ALL!! |
Although i think option a), could possibly be the easiest...??
In Canada if you speak english and french, have a degree, and want to work we dont want you.
The way to get in is to say that you are being discriminated against because george bush wont allow gay marriage. Im betting that in theis socialist nightmare of a society it would actually work.
If you really want to move here then go for it. Just be sure you know what you are getting into.
