Tokyo and Osaka are very expensive cities yes, but since living here I have discovered that if you don't live in the downtown core, you cook your own food or eat at resturants targeting typical japanese people and not fancy resturants it is not that expensive of a country. My only major expenese is taking the train to visit different places in japan. but it is worth it i think, I am having such a blast here.
