The minute I heard they're making a 'modern' version and Dakota Fanning was cast I knew it wouldnt be anything special. The movie has nothing to do w/ the book which makes me wonder why even call it WoTW.
And I'll no doubt cringe whenever Fanning is on screen; can you imagine the cheesey moments Spielberg will create w/ her? I can just picture her dialogue w/ daddy cruise

did you know that the book was written before the Wright brothers flew their plane, and so the author actually had the spaceships walk around on really long thin legs.
