Awesome choice of an icon for this thread. LOL.

i think it's hilarious when guys are all turned on by lesbians...it's not like i go up to a straight couple making out and stare with my mouth hanging open like "god that's hot." it's not like they're being intimate FOR you. they like EACH OTHER. not penises. that's the point. ehh guys are stupid. i guarantee you most women aren't turned on by two guys making out.
my friend knows this guy who's super homophobic. he can't even say the word lesbian. he calls them 'girl gay people.'

Posted by Massive84 on Feb-03-2005 20:01:

I don't mind gay men. Like someone's signature said once. More girls for me .

No seriously, beeing gay is alright with me, but what does annoy me and i am sorry but i can't help it.

Gay people that suddenly start to act different. You know, with their hands, the way they talk and even walk, maybe dress or starting to look different.

What the fuk does that have to do with beeing Gay? those people ruin the gay good guys and girls

I agree 100%. If I'm respected after I set it straight, I'm fine. And I'll continue the conversation, but it is awkward when you can tell you're still be sized up, or they are trying to hit on you. This is the same for any situation though. Men shouldn't force themselves on women either, or vice versa. It's not because it's a man hitting on me that bothers me, it's that it's someone (male or female) that I don't want hitting on me. If I'm talking to a girl and I get a bad vibe, I will either leave her alone, or talk in a normal/friendly manner.

The double standard is definitely there though. Same way a man can sleep with many women and be a champ, but a girl that sleeps with a lot of men is a slut. It's not fair, but it's the way it is. That won't change, so the rant is ineffective. Either people can accept people for what they are, or they will be afraid and defensive. It's hard to change someone, without them wanting to change themselves.

Ok, there's simple logic as to why straight males like lesbians so much.

Ok, heterosexual males like females, hetrosexaul males like seeing two females, hetrosexuals like seeing two girls making love to eachother because what they are attracted to are making sexual attraction with eachother, therefore hetrosexual males like lesbians.

The reason why streight males like lesbians but discourage from gay males is because they are straight. Because they are straight, they are not attracted to males, so they would subject themselves to what gay males do.

To ask why some people are homophobic, but are in fact attracted to gay women is a stupid fucking question.

Yes, two women together is homosexuality, bu the fact that they are of the gender that hetrosexual men are attracted to is the bases of why men are attracted to lesbians.

Men like to see naked chick, they like to see many naked chicks, they prefer naked chicks gettin' it on at the same time.. and America finds this to be okay! Hell we make sitcoms about it. However, if its to the point where women are gettin sexual satisfaction by looking at two men gettin' it on, we look at it as if they are taking away from our authority and that we're becoming feminine and only toy-like figures.

So the whole thing is about masculine behaviour? Men don't want to feel like "the weaker sex" or...? Is this the biggest threat when it comes to gay men, because the like to get fucked and suck dick? Does it crush the whole masculine idea of the society that is?
Maybe I'm way ofbut still...

Off course. That does apply to all sexes. A woman wouldn't like a man to be too pushy, and there are men who don't like to pushy women either. You can't always run by your horny mind. :P

Well, I work with these kind of issues every day, so I know that men who are just looking for pussy don't care if it's a lesbian or straight woman. All they see is pussy.
But there still are men who are hitting on lesbians just to try it out, and then get pissed of when they get a "no, I'm not interested". But I do know that there are even gay men who only see dick and don't care about it, but yet, the main problem where I work is still straight men hitting on the lesbians and don't understand why they get a no. "How can a woman not want dick in her pussy, especially mine?"

It's all a matter of respect.

How do you know if a gay or sraight man is near your ass in the supermarket, on the subway or any other place? How do you know when you're at a bar that the man next to you is straight or gay and maybe might be thinking the same about you?

But I also get from your post that you may hang out with gay men whom you know without a problem.
But I can also read that you wouldn't be too compfy if you yjoined any of these friends to a gay bar.
I might be wrong, but that's how I read it.

Well in my opinion there's two kinds of gay men, the flamboyant kind that dress and act the part, and regular guys next door, whose only difference from hetero men is that they just happen to get a woody when they see a hot guy instead of a hot girl.

The regular guys aren't easy to tell because they have been conditioned by society to i guess repress displaying their sexuality or something, as opposed to flamboyant gays who are more likely to act to display theirs(hense the clothes, the lisp, the hitting on you part etc).

So in conclusion there's really no harm from gays you cant recognize at once, because its not in their nature to shove their cock down your throat.

And yeah I have a gay friend. No I don't think I'd be comfortable in a gay club.

I had a bad gay bar experience, and prefer not to go to them, because of that. I also used to promote special events at a "gay" club, and never had a problem. I even went there on "gay night" on several occasions and wasn't harassed, except one guy touching my ass, but it actually made me laugh. My gay friend did not laugh, and actually got really pissed off. I thought it was amusing. At the same time, I saw two guys making out at one of my parties and chose to look away, at that point. I wasn't upset in any way, but I have no desire to watch two men make out. I don't really like watching anyone make out, to be honest, but yes two men making out is more disgusting, to me, than a man and a woman. I'm not afraid of them (have quite a few gay friends), but their lifestyle does nothing for me.

hahahahaha im gonna start saying that. anyway lets put in my 2 cents even tho im sure it won't matter i have 40 mins till class starts.

gay people are awesome male and female. they tend to be alot more comfortable with themselves and fuck they are cool to hang out with. i worked with a guy that was gay and he was teh coolest mother ****** ever...we always went out to lunch and i loved hangin out with him. i think thats what led alot of people at work to think i was gay, cuz we got along so well. but i say to each his/her own and homophobia is lame

Posted by mto on Feb-03-2005 21:36:

The weirdest thing is the fact that the whole Western world was built under tolerance of homosexuality. The Greeks, the Romans and many other early civilizations considered only other men as equivalent for relationships. Women were there just to get pregnant and for reproduction.
