Could i ask the coventry and warwick uni guys, whats coventry like in terms of going out?

I've lived in Coventry all my life, after school went to Manc Uni for 1 yr dropped out of medicine and after a year out went to Sheff uni now in my 3rd year. But with Coventry becoming a 'uni city' what is the nightlife and social life like? (got a friend up here whose thinking of going) I know its chav/scally central went i get back in the holidays and normally its always Ikon and Diva!! Sometimes i went to Planet (called something else now)Careys(the memories of being a whippersnapper at that place!) or Colloseum(last time i went goth and witch central
!), but generally its awful (esp. for trance), has it improved?

im trying to get trance back up in this town, its hard with other commitments getting a night started (being the only person i know in this neck of the woods who likes it!) and house being the predominantly edm genre in this town

Theres a trance night starting up at Trinity's (the old silver sword, near sainsburys by pool meadow) on the 26th Feb called M-Zone or something. Im gonna check it out and give its full support as this town needs something other than house.

Failing that its not too bad, its picking up slowly but surely. Glasshouse has some good nights on the weekend and Careys has always got some big house chap on.

Plus also Brum is only a 15 min train journey, so you're not totally restricted!

Well good luck with it, for such a big city it does lack 'club-vibe', but with coventry uni ever expanding and enhancing its reputation it would take only time for coventry to develop.

Its vastly improved over tthe last couple of years, glasshouse (assuming im talking about that 'thing' on the corner near the fountains) does look good, does it actually run full nights, i.e. to 2am etc, ive only ever been in the day time or early evening.

trinity's have to admit never been there, is it a locals night or student orientated?

Suppose not really any chance of a so called glamour club develpoing in cov dues to leicester and b'ham having big nights.

Although i dont live there at the mo 'cause im in sheff, if need be i could help around when im back, i can only talk about the 'locals' i know as i dont know many students in the town. Its nice to see u helping our city! lol, couldn;t help our football team to could you!
