U2 by a mile, its the Oasis tracks that all sound the same to me.
Compare Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me to The Sweetest Thing and then to Beautiful Day, whilst not hugely different, more variation than the Gallagher's droning...

U2, though I like both.
both have pretty shit attitudes to be fair! only going by the music.
hmmmmm some self-righteous-the-world-owes-me-a-favour-cos-of-all-the good-things-i-do apple sell-out or the uber john lennon wannabe
what a choice?
btw i voted u2 cos i really like sum of their songs (but bono's still a twat) and i cant stand liam gallagher no erm john lennon no gallagher no lennon no gallaher aaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!!

U2 have probably been more influential for longer. they were probably rocking stages when liam and noel were in nappies.
wtf U2 are winning
you're all so wrong
but oasis are sheeeeiiiiite
Definitely Maybe is one of the best albums ever, so Oasis > U2
tough call,u2 r amazing, the fact they r still around & havent lost any members is good stat, but for me,prob because oasis appeared in my time & the way they came on the scene was exactly what was needed, when u look at the so called good bands 2day,franz ferdinand, keane, the all very good at what they do but they r not ROCK & ROLL stars, icant c any1 impacting like oasis did again
as i was writing this i had Oasis - Sad Song playing, noel gallagher is the best songwriter for a long time
I love both bands, but I definitely like U2 more personally. Well, both bands respect each other and I believe in 1997 for U2's Pop Tour Oasis even opened up for U2 in Oakland, California in the States. Now that would have been an amazing fucken show to have attended!!!
Defintely going to try to get tickets for both bands as they tour this year!
im going to presume that the 6 people who voted theyre both crap are the "everythings shit unless its edm people".
not entirely, i just think they are both shite
Old U2 just absolutely rocks ... not that Joshua Tree nonsense either ... Under a Blood Red Sky is just one of the greatest rock albums ever. That live version of '11 o'clock tick tock' just sends shivers down my spine. No Oasis track I've ever heard has even come close to that. So, U2 for me
