it isn't those who don't follow my beliefs. I am not by any means a perfect person, I have my shortcomings. my beliefs are not what is to be followed, but rather EVERYONES.
I want a way for the people to tell the governments that this is no longer acceptable.

| I'm interested in why you believe the Beginning of the End (or Beginning of the New Beginning?..) will start in 2012.. what is the significance of this date?.. you may have mentioned it in one of your prior posts, but I'd rather not read them all again! |

Well, it seems there's some shitty places to work out there, and - believe me - I've been at the bottom of the ladder in the jobs I had before I started studying as well.
But, nobody is forcing you to work there!
You'd might say that you need the money for your rent, food, clothes etc. but if you really wanted you could probably get by with a lot less. Example: You all have computers and internet connections, probably TVs, stereos (for listening to trance) and surely wears some kind of fashion clothes - all things that aren't essential to survival. So basically you work at that damn place because you have *chosen* to endure the jerks above you in exchange for a materialy enriched life.
Likewise the people you work for most likely hasn't been handed their priviledges on a silver plate: They have *chosen* to lower their self esteem in order to kiss so much ass that they got promoted, sacrificed spare time in favour of working late in order to stand out so they could get up the ladder, or they might have had the balls to start a company by themselves. Equaly, their life is riddled with extra responsibilities and probably a longer work day.
I don't think that blaming corporatism gets you anywhere. Only an reassesment of your goals and life will get you anywhere - just like AnotherWay did it.
In closing I'd recommend the Godfather saga that - to me - illustrates the problem nicely.
btw. I like Pepsi.
this is a quote I got from another forum

I think those who complain about capitalism are unhappy with their current position in society right now and need an outlet. Fortunatley for RavingLunatic, he found this "shroomism" or whatever... I have worked in a position that Renegade spoke of... and you know what? It's not THAT bad... just look at it this way: It may be unfair that the bosses have it easy, and you bust your ass... but don't forget, (like trancaholic said), your bosses started out JUST as you did.... |
| quote: |
| In other words, if you bust your ass, and continue to work hard, you can be where they are one day. THEN you can relax and make the big bucks. Anybody can be successful. With the right amount of education, hard work, and determination, ANYONE can become a "CEO". To those who say life isn't fair: I say BULLSHIT! Some may get dealt better things in life by birth, but anyone can be whoever they want to be in this society: Every person has access to all necesities, and everyone has the ability/option to do whatever they want with their lives. You may be unhappy with Capitalism, but i think you are unhappy with yourselves.
And to agree with TranceGiant, we are all but bricks in a huge wall. One brick is not going to change everything. And did it not occur to you that the reason we have this wall in the first place is because of how good of a system it is? Why do you think the strongest countries in the world are capitalist? As much as you may not like it, its the best system out there. |
| quote: |
| I like your dreams though, although they may be of grandeur. You cannot be blamed, RavingLunatic, for wanting that. I just blame you for blaming Capitalism. I am experiencing right now what you are dreaming for.... and i am experiencing it in a Capitalist economy! I work, yet am not bored. I buy things i want, yet am not broke. And i do what i want! 100% happy in life i am. |

| quote: |
| You will find that on your quest to "right" the world, your biggest opponents will be those who are already happy in life! And as far as the "world-ending" stuff, i just think people need an excuse, something to take their mind off things.... These people were so fucking vocal about everything come the end of 1999..... but you don't hear shit out of them now, do you? But as soon as something else "comes up", you're going to hear these people again..... Well, the world's been around for billions of years, and its not going anywhere for another "billions of years".... lol. Cheers for now. -ABT- |

| Originally posted by RavingLunatic Hi all, you might not know me, but I have something to say. I'm sick and tired of people walking all over me, of my government deciding how I live, and how I am seen by the rest of the world. I want to put an end to racism, sexism, poverty, and all of societies ills. I want to take the power back from the ones who are abusing it. lofty goals you may say, but it CAN be done. This is the time RIGHT NOW, while your reading this. Here are some quotes from some a friend of mine: I bet you have. this is only one person I talked to today about this. I've been having these discussions ever since the millenium, when I thought the world was going to end, but it didn't. ever since then, I have felt SOMETHING building. and this is it. This earth has existed for a VERY long time, and will continue to exist for a long time. Humanity as a whole has went downhill in the last few years, and we have allowed ourselves to be placated by "the man", governments, the media, the mainstream, the establishment, whatever you want to call it. We have allowed them to tell us what to eat, what to wear, what to do, what to buy, how to live, even what our religions are. But, the balance of power is swinging back to the people now. All nations, all cultures, all religions, realize that it's all one in the same. There is no god, no buddha, no allah. It's all the same thing. Nature and technology, theology and science, they are all part of the same thing. Everything I hear through "them", says we are all different. But when I talk to individuals, we all get it, and feel the same way. The time has come for us to take this back. To make these changes. To take actions and send out the message of universal peace throughout the globe. To send a clear message to them that we will no longer take their shit shoved down our throats, and we will exist above them. Right now is a time of transition, and you must be on the side of the good, or you will regret it very soon. We must prepare for the battle ahead friend. Let everyone know, do not be complacent, or lazy, or take the easy way out. Stand up for what you belive. January 1st 2012, is when the traditional(out of sync) 12 month calendar, and the real 13 month calenday(in sync with the moon) will converge. At this point, the people on the good side will make the switch. We will be about 32 years old by then. We will have the power, the baby boomers long dead relics. We can change this world, make it better, stop wars and hunger and hatred and religious squabbles. But it will take the dedication of hundreds of thousands of people, starting right NOW with me telling you. Some are leaders. I am no leader, but I will do my part. I'm going to devote a website to this, it's been taking shape in my head for a few years now. Which side are you on? I have some ideas, let's hear yours, how can we make this world a better place? you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. ![]() prove it. email me at if you want to help. |
well.. I do smoke a lot of weed actually, that gets the thoughts coming even faster..
they want you to think you can never change it. we can. believe me we can. if we all get together all at once, and decide, fuck it, I'm not taking your shit anymore, then we will have our way..
imagine a rock concert. there are 200 security guards, and 15,000 fans. the fans want to smoke weed. since they greatly outnumber the security, they light up anyway. and they don't get caught, well, maybe one or two of them, but the mass majority of them get to smoke all they want..
life is just like that. there are billions of us out there that want a better world. and only thousands that want this one. the problem is that the thousands control the elections, the tv networks, the laws, the radios.. they make you think you can never beat them.
but we can. it just takes one day that we all decide to not take their shit..

but seriously, even the lowest peon in western civilization is still more powerful that prolly 60% of other individuals in the world - assuming that person has cash flow...late/
Thanks again for you input biznology.
I do have to disagree with you though.
To change the world, we don't have to convince all the "security guards" to give up their power.
we only need to stop listening to them. I don't have to convince the security guards that smoking pot in the concert is OK, all I have to do is do it, and know that there is little to no chance they will catch me. all I have to do is spread the word through the crowd, and it will catch on.
speaking of drugs, no I don't grow my own, and if I did, I would need to buy the equipment from somwhere, you are very much correct.
I don't think that the whole system should be thrown aside, that will never work. but I think the people should have a say. right now they don't.
there are 2 political parties that you have a choice of voting for, or you can "throw your vote away". I'm talking about the USA here, even though I am from canada. now, both of those parties, are securely in the back pocket of the big tobbacco and pharmaceutical companies. essentially the biggest drug dealers in the world!
the corporations are in control here, the american people have no say.
this is what I propose. an organization of people, that is ABOVE governments. you belong to the organization, and you vote for what is right, and everyone gets a say. then you become your own lobby group, letting the govt of your country know that you will not stand for these injustices.
posting on TA is going to help.. I have also posted the same thing on a firespinning website. I have gotten many replies, emails, encouragement, ideas, from everyone.
once I am prepared, I am going to make my own site similar to this one, and take over the userbase of another site full of intelligent people, that is on it's way out right now.
belive me man, something will come of this.
and no, I will not lay off the ganj.
there is at least a shred of truth here
The Mayans had an incredibly complex calendar and mathematical system. I don't know much about it (there's plenty of books out there about it I'm sure), but I do know that it is very impressive for such an "ancient" culture. What I also remember is that their calendar abuptly ends on a certain date, in 2011 or 2012. I suppose it is the January 1st, 2012 that RavingLunatic mentions.
Is this just a limit of the mathematical system? Or a doomsday date? Mayan writings suggest the latter.
Personally, I keep try to stay skeptical and rational, while at the same time reading as much "crackpot" material as I can. At the very least, guys, don't take everything the media says for granted. Formulate your own conclusions and opinions on everything.
Yes, there is definitely SOME truth to this..
the mayans were a brilliant people.
as for January 2012, who knows what's gonna happen? I certainly don't, but I'm doing all the learning I can in the meantime.

yeah well...i'm another one of your friggin crackpots..hehh...read tons of this kind of stuff...from what i see i think there's basically two "schools of thought" so to speak on this issue...the first believes that the passage of the 12th planet (aka "nibiru" as zecharia sitchin says) around 2003 will CAUSE the "shift"..read all about that at www.zetatalk.com
the other one believes that 2012 will be doomsday, but for sum reason they haven't been able to say why exactly, all i can tell so far from reading their stuff is that it's gonna be doomsday
but always be sceptical of everything u read or hear
peace
I will be the ULTIMATE skeptic!!

i know that zecharia sitchin has written about the 12th planet, i really don't know tho how much he said about "the shift" or doomsday, sorry if i gave the wrong impression in my post, but yeah, the 12th planet has been linked by sum to this "shift" aka doomsday, just dont know if zecharia sitchin himself wrote the 12th planet will cause the shift (in tandem with those at zetatalk.com)
peace
