Over-rated movie.
That isn't to say it isn't a great movie but people act as if it's a gift from god, it's mainly the wannabe ghetto kids, the ones who snap on me when I say Tupac is over-rated.

Also, I'm almost certain that GTA Vice City is based on Scarface
Some comparisions:
1Tony Montana is very like Tommy Vercetti
2Ricardo Diaz is like the guy in Scarface with the chainsaw
3Your mansion in Vice City is almost identical to the one in Scarface, even the fucking interior design.
4. Those damned hawain (sp) shirts and the soft pastel coloured suits are all over GTA Vice City and Scarface.
It is.
The game has alot of the same 80's songs used in Scarface. Even in the dance club the song playing is the one during the scene in Scarface. Plus alot of other songs. If you've played VC alot and then watch Scarface you'll recognize alot of similarities.
yeah Tommy's lawyer in Vice City also looks and acts like Sean Penn's character in Carlito's Way

saw it the first time today...and what can i say?
i agree that al pacinos character was over exagerrated, but it worked..and the sense of loyalty, how he didnt want to kill that guy and kids, very heroic infact...
but watching this while stoned...totally fucked up...the first 30-45 minutes, i was like WTF, chainsaws and shit cutting ppl up, seen before in alot of gritty HK films, very raw and messy...i didnt expect that...the grittyness and how uncut it was...
but for most of it i couldnt understand wtf he was saying and shit...but there were some class moments in that film...
say hello to my little friend and bang, that was brilliant.
hit me like a ton of bricks when he got killed though, i was expecting for him to rise up, kill the bastard and die but no.
really fucked up shit. but good film otherwise

its a good movie...
but something was missing, couldnt put my finger on it.
I LOVED paccino's character...but i dont know...
God father was so much better.

To be honest I prefered Scarface to the Godfather, even though the Godfather seems more 'Polished'. The Godfather is undoubtedly brilliant, but Scarface is just so much fun

geez everyone is so into this movie ,I wonder how it got popular. I use to watch back in the late 80's but now everyone knows about it????
