thats prettyt crazy, my mum doesnt mind listenin to soft ministry of sound mixed stuff, but yeah.
my dad hates it, he tries mocking it by bopping his head and going doof doof doof grinning stupidly when i piss him off.

i think @$%#ing rock music is just alot of noise half the time there is no crisp sound and bad recordings and live performances are shit.
like for example the drummers kick drum will sound a bit faint, where as edm is virtually good to listen to......

Re: How many of your Parents listen to Trance?

Airwave and good trance together in the same sentence are a paradox

As for my rents, they tolerate electronic music, but I can't really say they like it.

every now and then my mom will walk into my room while im spinning and say, wow uve been playing some good stuff lately

im thinking im too poor to get new records, so this is the same shit played last month.. hmm..

i think shes getting into it - she likes universal religion live at armada a lot and steve angello remixes

The other week my mum bought herself a "Anthems of Trance" CD that was on offer and now she's always listening to it in the car.

Most of it is just poppy cheesy stuff but hey it's a start and there's some good tunes there (For a lifetime, Strange World )

She doesn't like some of the stuff I spin though, but that's what she's like with all music, she only likes watered down, easy to listen to music. Anything that's the slightest bit edgy or harsh sounds 'awful' to her.

My dad likes some trance I've got, mostly more chilled proggy stuff. Junk Project - Composure (Solarstone remix), ATRC and Beautiful Things, if I'm ever listening to these kinds of tunes he'll say 'sounds good'. But he mostly likes his classic rock.

Hey mom, listen to some of my music. (some tiesto song)

"Ah techno, the germans love that..."

Posted by chojin on Feb-14-2005 18:05:

neither of my parents really....

but my dad bought prodigy fat of the land, and a faithless album a couple years back, they sorta count dont they?

My mom bought Sasha's Involver before I got it.

My mom doesn't mind trance, especially if it's prog.
People at work, in my department, are forced to listen to it, since I'm the only one with the stereo, and I get to say what plays on it
I must admit though, it's weird having to see some people start to move to the music at work (they're like 2x my age! LOL)

My mother is 62, i use to force her to listen to Trance and prog. until i cought her listening to it on the computer.
Now she plays it while she's cleaning... who what of thought some one her age would like trance & prog
My dad F@%#ing hates it.
