I love it. The destruction casued by the Tripods looks insane! Quite different to the 1950s version where nearly every set was made of miniture models. It took almost 2 years to do the special effects the 1950s version. Now look how FX are done in have the time!!

I can't wait, should be good.

Yea, this movie is going to own ive decided. Im a little tired of Dakota Fanning though. Dont get me wrong she is a good actor, but she played the witty little girl in like every movie in the past 3 years.

There has been another version of the 'War Of The Worlds' made recently. This one is the Pendragon Pictures version. check out the trailer:

The Pendragon version has a budget of about $30 million, whilst the Paramount/Speilberg version has over $130 million budget.

The pendragon one looks alright, but I dont know what the deal is with that chick doing Opera at the start of the trailer??! freaken bizaar.
