Posted by Turner on Mar-05-2005 23:00:

Ordered my copy of this on Thursday so i will most likely get it on Monday/Tuesday, i take it, its a lot better than GT3?

Posted by j_spot on Mar-06-2005 06:48:

the msuic is pretty awesome
I added the classical to my playlist, and love it when I race nuremberg listening to bach. It seems like a nice (fast) drive in the country.

Ive gota question
Ive completed(or so I thought) all the races in beginner/professional leagues. I skipped a few race #5 because I already had enough points to win the championship.

But now I cant open up the last races of Professional. It says I need to complete all races of pro and beginner before I can compete there. Do you guys know if I need to complete all races, or do you just have to win each series (so some individual races, and some championship?)

yes, you have to complete all the races to unlock further difficulty. same as GT3.

im not sure you *have* to get golds, but you do have to get third at least.

PS the photo mode gets better when you get a bit sloshed - ie too drunk to video game drive...hehe. ive made some decent ones, but i was a bit disappointed, tho havent messed with it since a few days ago|

After I found out that I had one bronze that was skipping my eye, I think that might be wrong. I won some championship series without competing in all races, and still accessed the GT pro championship(which I proptly quit, I dont have a car that good yet)

Posted by [mart] on Mar-10-2005 11:19:

Hmm, I think it's going to take me some time to be able to get round corners without flying off the track.

Posted by Quantized on Mar-10-2005 15:18:

i bought this yesterday, and im addicted

Anyone else think that the licenses (excluding special) were a lot easier than the last couple of GT's? I managed to get a bronze first time for more than half of them and the most attempts i had at a single one was about 6, which is tiny compared to GT3 where a few of them took me like 25 tries

hmmm, dunno how im gonna start progressing through the game...i was thinking of maybe saving up & buying a new skyline and then using that with mods to get me lotsa money, whats everyone else doing?

Posted by Turner on Mar-10-2005 22:58:

Aint done any races yet, just gonna try and get the licences out of the way first, so far ive completed the National B and the National A licences. Dunno whether to goto sleep now or to do all of International B.

Posted by j_spot on Mar-11-2005 07:39:

I have hit a snag on the final race of the professional category.
argh!

Posted by Quantized on Mar-11-2005 16:02:

i won a 800bhp car a wee while ago and now ive got over 1million credits...i think im sorted now

Cant decide what to buy with my money though...too much choice.

I wouldn't really say so. It's probably because you're familiar with GT games such as myself, and you already get a feel of how to handle cars when you're doing the license testings. It's just a matter of experience

I LOVE GT4!!!!!!!!!

Posted by j_spot on Mar-12-2005 03:44:

its a brilliant game.
Just bought a Saleen S7 and Its loads of fun to drive.

thats not a bad idea. its an amazing game.

Posted by dex316 on Mar-14-2005 23:42:

i bought this game last week and its awesome...

but...

does anyone else think its a lot easier than gt3?? i havent got the special licence yet but the rest were much easier than last time and if u complete the second rally u get a 750hp cadillac cien which dicks all over everythin in the beginner and pro categories (specially when u tune it into a 960hp monster)

dont get me wrong tho its a really fun game and it looks superb

Anyone know if there's a garage limit in this one? I hated how you could only have 100 cars in the last one

Posted by j_spot on Mar-15-2005 00:31:

I think I read (on gamefaqs) that there is a garage limit, but that its 1000

this could be wrong. ill go read their msg board to check it out.
