2 Dollar Egg - Lego Pet
Misc. - Take It Personal
Steve Lawler - Out at Night (Nathan Fake Remix)

Oh, how I love these tunes.

Try to find a copy of Eric Prydz mix cd that he did for Mixmag a few months ago. It is absolutely my Bible for electro. One of the best sounding mixes I've heard in a while.

Please click the second dot in my sig to see a real electro artists profile. (explore his aliases, as he has not done anything under his real name)

kthxtexas!

On the other hand ze Germans discovered Prog themselves as seen by Vaeth and CO which more and more use productions like James Holden's and Nathan Fake's in their sets. I like this development...Here in Europe, especially German/Austria the electro thing has been going on for years already (Alter Ego - Rocker and Monstertruckdriver have been the most popular exports of this scene lately) and the trend towards MINIMAL and ACID continues.

As opposed to artists who are either not electro artists, but are abusing the electro sound in their work, or electro artists which have offered nothing to the genre?!

Are you questioning Mr. Donalds work? I'm interested in hearing any superior current electro artists, as I find all of the other more recent electro works are quite good productions, but they all ring with the same sound.

Posted by AlphaStarred on Feb-21-2005 23:08:

i very seldom, if not never, listen to strictly electro...so no, i'm not in a position to question any electro artist's work.

Wow, Fabric 20 mixed by Digweed is amazing!

electro is definitely being heard more & more. its a great fresh sound as personally i found the progressive was starting to lack quality *insert broken heart here*.

check out my latest mix >>HERE<<. if you're into the electro sound mixed with prog i think this mix will be something you'll really enjoy *crosses fingers*

Harold Faltenmeyer - Axel F (the famous beverly hills cop theme song)
Real Life - Send Me An Angel

felix da housecat (remix of madonnas american life as well as tons of others)
bob sinclair (some of his stuff, europa)
miss kittin - stock echange... womann

Someone mentioned legowelt before??? Italo-disco ruuuleesss!!!!!dutch labels like creme, clone and viewlex and producers like legowelt, alden tyrell and stuff like that with all these soundtrackey epic melodies and raw analogue 80s production. It sounds so fresh in contrast to all this computerised music that comes out lately...Oh and now some information for the trainspoters... I ve recently listened to a french ital/electro-disco group called space. Has anybody heard of them? They were quite famous in the end of the 70s. You see they were the creators of that classic electro hymn "magic fly". It was such a flashback when i heard it...all their music is amazing.. sounds like vangelis, jarre or kraftwerk doing disco...

Oh and please, i know that some of you are trying to help but but diggers, sasha and eric prydz have NO RELATION to real elecro or whatsoever!!!Electro is about futurism, emotion and interesting synth-melodies not some TRENDY HOUSEY CRAP with disturning noises that some arshole told media it is the new cool!!!

Posted by Floorfiller on Feb-25-2005 18:05:

i'll say this about this new trend...

i grew up on 80's synth pop and electro bands...i still love it today. i know what real electro is and to be honest it doesn't really appeal to me that much and that's why i never really listened to it in the past. this new sound thats been coming out...the electro house stuff...its just plain bad ass and that's why i'm enjoying it. i've never really been that huge into prog...especially the kind digweed played in 2001-2003 ish...i hate that slow boring prog sound. now i loved that prog house of the 1998-2000 era that sasha used to play...this is finally a new genre that to me is bringing some of that feeling back but with new flavor...
