the batty boy debate

Yes we do have meetings. On Friday we want all the sets to flow between each other and for the night to build set after set. We sat down to work out musically where we are going to take the night.

William Silva (Thrillseekers style trance)
Josh van Aalst (Agnelli and Nelson to anthem trance)
Ruby (euphoric 142 bpm trance)
Steven Simpson (Harder edged trance)

I don't really care what you think Paulie. All I care about is that I'll be playing a 2 hour peak time set in one of the best clubs in Sydney to a wonderful happy crowd who love the music i love.

So Paulie, just out of interest what will you be doing this Friday night?

Josh

1 more sleep

ohh I cant wait, the sacred one has even held meetings to decide in which order the cheese will be raining down from the heavens. The anticipation is too much to handle (sid runs around his room in his tight pink hot pants and butterfly wings) what will the mirror man play? how will the thousands (ehm ten ehm) punters respond? will they put their hands in the air from the time they enter until the doors close at 6am (one would hope in the air and not anywhere else)? the hype, the buildup, the one thousand adjectives used to describe every dj and his 'style'! it can only be at one place.................

RUBY

i think it's pretty sorta ummm, professional (?) for D'J's playing at the same venue in the same night to work out what each is playing by having a meeting..no?

don't mean to be a smart arse but c'mon what's goin on with all this bashing..

but anyway should be great...

with lotsa dance space available with only 10 people going, should be good.

^^^^
Couldn't they just work it all out with a simple phone call or email???

Posted by Zureal on Feb-24-2005 12:16:

i dunno, i guess.

maybe they're just being friendly and wanted to catch up in person..i think it'd be cool to do that and talk about who's playing what and how to make the night good for the crowd.

anyway.. back to my exile..

The matter definitely warrants a meeting of the upper echelons of the Ruby hierarchy. I mean deciding who is going to play 'Fly away', that is an issue more important than the very security of this nation. Who plays 'fly away' at Ruby this Friday is more than we can begin to comprehend. They should call a summit between world leaders as to who is given this ultimate honour. My money is on mirror man, but this Ruby character with quotes like "You can never take things to far" might pull (on top of his hourly routine) some unexpected suprises.

Posted by eRRaTiK on Feb-24-2005 12:33:

never heard this 'fly away' track but now i wanna hear it!

Posted by pinkhelmet on Feb-24-2005 12:42:

let me flyyyy away, let my fly away, let meeeeeee FLY!

is that it?

Posted by gumble on Feb-24-2005 16:48:

that was going too far, even from me......

Posted by Aesthetic on Feb-24-2005 21:53:

coming from gumble, thats one hell of a statement right there.

ps. s_madis for mod.

I was wondering the same thing? this Ruby character seems to be quite the mystery man. He seems to be the one pulling all the strings (very literally) with all this secret meeting stuff. The night is even named after him, Ruby which can only suggest that he might even be a much larger, more spiritual, tool, than our very own, his holiness, Joshua 'Mirror Man' Van Aalst. Could it possibly be that one even exists within the realms of this universe? I wouldn't past him with the catch phrases like "You can never take things to far". Only time will tell....................8 hours and counting.

(Hot pink pants and butterfly wings at the dry cleaners as we speak)

Posted by Ghostface on Feb-25-2005 03:42:

Can someone post a sample of the fly away song? I want to know if it really is that ghey.

Posted by tonydanza on Feb-25-2005 04:02:
