id say the wider range of music they seem to put on every year only seems to attract the worse punters rather than the better ones

imo the worst arena was the breaks arena and i was in all of them for at least half an hour, and i agree with george, the dnb arena was relatively passive compared to some of the others.

also Jackson, i wouldn't reccommend you driving down having just recently passed your test, you don't quite realise how fucking tired you will be until you have sat down for half an hour or something when it's all over. anybody who can drive straight after that is either hyped on summat, fucking stupid, or more likely, soon to be dead.

the first year i went (2002) i slept for nearly 24 hours afterwards, although i had been up for over 3 days. i suggest you do an all-nighter and go for a short drive to see if you think you will be up for it in some place you don't know driving a lot furthur.

having said that, getting the train is a right pain and involves leaving early or the lovely walk to stratford which has been fucking stupidly funny and insane the 2 times we did that

Luke has an excellent point. I took a coach to GKGG last year ... came out at 7 or 8am, whenever it was - straight onto the coach, eyes shut and zzzZZZ all the way back to London.

I doubt ill go. After "Wild in the country" GKGG seemed total dog piss.

There is more fun to be had at many other places, for a fraction of the price. Try buying a Trance Nation CD and a bottle of white lightning cider and some asprin. After the bottle and cd are finished, head out to your local town centre and give a man your wallet and phone. Then run as fast as you can into a lamppost while you whistle FC - Punk. The man will make off with your wallet and you'll have a smashed in face. (note :if you chicken out of hurting yourself, just think about how you would feel if you hurt yourself)

For 15, this is what GKGG is like.

From the way things sound i'll just go to a good trance night.
I want to be there for the music and feel the interraction between the djs, the music and the crowd.
The way u guys are putting it, GKGG sounds like Chav City.

not that it matters, it's all about Dance Valley this year

This is just you being ignorant and paranoid.

The dnb arena was really good, probably the best atmosphere in the whole event.

The sound systems are terrible...so if you're going for the music, you'll be let down.
The atmosphere in these places is terrible, it lacks the intimacy dance music has been fuled on since the early 90s.
In the GK arena they put the djs up on a massive stage 1million miles away from the crowd, so interaction is terrible.

save your money, go to a club night.

Actually, myself and a bunch off of here (Misty Kitty, DJ_MDMA) actually watched various ppl get attacked by some homeboys whilst they were going back to their cars, threw empty beer bottles at ppl, walking up to them asking for the time then smacking them through the face, was fucking shit

I saw someone getting punched out in the GK arena....what's your point?
