I really want to see G&D but Local H is playing the same night! I might have to pick one or the other, I hate choices like this! I have never seen G&D before so they might win!

I am leaning towards at least stopping by for a bit. We shall see though.

I wish I could "Play it by ear" for some decent DJ's... when I want to see someone it's gotta be an event... 4.5 hour drive to Chicago, hotel, food, etc...

I guess that could be the reason I REALLY enojy myself when I get down there though... you don't exactly get spoiled with the worlds best DJ's rolling through Stevens Point Wisconsin every week...

Now would be a good time to mention that I am fucking stoked about G & D this weekend (Not to mention I'm going to the aquarium AND the museum of sci/industry!)...

Museums & Electronic dance music are what I'm all about!

Can't wait to meet all of you, I'll be on the lookout, but if anyone thinks they see me (Most likely in a button down stripy shirt with jeans, possibly a green jacket, but who knows?) don't hesitate to give it a what up... Maybe I'll just wear a shirt that says either "RJT" or "R-Turn" on it... no I won't.

I'll be there with a couple friends. It'll be my first time seeing them. I really like a lot of their productions as well as the Bloom cd. Looking forward to seeing some of you!

Especially for anyone helping to plan or spin at the Midwest TA party that's in the works, if you want to meet up, I should be at Vision around 11:45 or so and will likely be around the booth on the 2nd floor for most of the night or else just PM me so we can all figure out something. I will be heading there by myself since my friends aren't really into EDM, but I'll be showing up after 2 parties, so I will not be shy. Looking forward to hearing 'Alive' live!

Phew! Almost wrecked the car twice, but we're here, the museum was dope, now chillin at the hotel til about midnight... everyone feel free to give it a what up, see my pic above, I'll be in blue pinstripe pants with a white/blue vert striped shirt on...

Just back to the hotel after G&D, had a great night, really enjoyed the set (Minus the extended "Beautiful Things" & "No One on Earth"), haven't danced that hard in a while.

Got to meet Lucid & JMC, and I'm pretty sure Lucid thought I was a MORON when I first got there. I arrived, walked past her (thinking it was her from the pic with holden) on the way to the bathroom, and on my way back I decided to say hello. Now I should mention I was in a bit of a hurry to get dancing as on the way in a member of the Vision staff let us know Josh & Dave hit the decks early, and even when I got into the room and heard some dirty warm up prog I still believed it. Here's how my conversation with Lucid went:

RJT - "So have you been here since Josh & Dave went on?"

Lucid - "Ummm, they're on?" (Looks at me like I'm out of my mind on some sort of substance.)

RJT - "They aren't?"

Lucid - "Their set doesn't start until 1."

RJT - "Oh... Well, I need a drink, nice to meet you."

So yeah, in explanation, I'm a pretty shy guy in public with strangers in general, and making that big of an error I must have turned the brightest shade of red in the world and just figured I better cut my losses.

In any event, it's nice to be able to place names with faces. I really enjoyed the set, wish they would have played from the booth though.

My body requires rest, for I raged mightily tonight.

Really? I loved the extended Beautiful Things. It was really fun to see them mess with the accapella version on the cdj over the course of 2 or three songs. I guess if you're tired of that song though, it would get boring.

Overall, I loved the set! It was awesome to see how they split the labor and made really great sounds... much better than one at a time in my opinion.

Can't wait to see them at WMC.

Anybody know the track they played just after 3am that had male vocals and "...with someone else"? I couldn't always make out the rest of the lyrics, but loved the track.

hahaha RJT i barely even remember having that conversation. i was so busy talking to everyone that i wasn't really watching the time or the DJs. don't worry about making an ass of yourself. all the TAs are the friendliest people... we don't care if you're shy. it was nice to meet you, albeit briefly. you should have stuck around so i could have introduced you to a bunch of other TAs!

and don't worry, i don't think you're a moron.

i also got to meet neural defect and introduced him to a bunch of the TAs. it was awesome to have so many of us out last night. kristen, christen, JM, steve, kael (im so happy i got to see you finally!!!), shawn (or is it sean?), royce and lisa, marv, rturn (i'm sorry i didn't catch your real name), angie (even though she doesn't post), and uhhh i think that's it. you all rock.

as for G&D's set, i thought it was pretty awesome. i was dancing almost the whole time and they dropped Till There Was You and Bigtop - Sub, which were the 2 tracks i was dying to hear. it was so much better than their set last year in Feb. the dancefloor was pretty packed too. i'm not gonna try to list all the other songs they dropped because i suck at IDing and well, i was drinking and having a good time so i didn't pay much attention.

i hate the setup on the stage, but i guess it worked well because it seems to fill the dancefloor. it was nice that all the TAs took over that VIP area right above though, heheh.

royce, lisa, and i cut out around 4 so i didn't catch the end of their set but i was exhausted. passed out for an hour in the backseat on the way home, haha. it was fun driving down with you guys!

amazing set. love how they pulled out most of their own productions. Till there was you remix, swing 2 harmony remix, ressurection remix, motorcycle - around you (AMAZING), big top-sub, josh gabriel - alive, they played zoot women - grey day (paper face remix). some many good songs...what a set. this is my first time seeing them and i thought it was top notch.

didnt like the dj booth set up on stage...so gay.

omg and The Killers remix!!!!! Mr. Brightside!!!! i love it!
