Yeah that's what I thought too...I could swear it was cheaper in previous years too. It was pretty big though and passed by the entire GM exhibit

its the A4, that your thinking of... audi doesnt make an S series. thats Volvo's domain. that new volvo was designed by rousch in saleen btw... great bunch of guys out there. they were also lead engineering in the Ford GT... which imo is the greatest car ever... drools......

This is true.

The new S4 has a 4.2 litre V8 with ~340bhp if I remember correctly.

colonelcrisp, I have no idea where you got the idea that the S40 is done up by Rousch/Saleen, it was done by Evolve Cars Inc. in Monrovia, California.

rousch does all the powertrain and suspension work for all the highend ford svt and other ford brand products. final detailing interior and even posibly manufacturing is done elsewhere but the concept design and protype development is always done at the saleen proving grounds. the car you saw at the show was assembled and build at evolve but all the engineering design for the highend ford brands (ford mercury, lincon, landrover, mazda, volvo, aston martin) is done at the saleen facility...

it is a gorgeous car though. despite my ford nazi isms, this is the first volvo i have liked since ford took them over..

Forget the Audi S4. Audi GmbH revealed the B7 RS4 last night. 4.2 FSI V8 420hp. Makes my 4.2 V8 feel puny now!!
