I wasn't sure what to expect from Tiesto's set @ GLOW...on a Tuesday night! Would Tiesto spin more than three hours? How would Tiesto be like at FUR? Even though the night wasn't perfect, I don't regret going out again to see Tiesto!

Due to some work bs, I couldn't make it to FUR till 1030 pm. I wish I could've made it earlier so could I catch all of Dan Sampson's set! If there's one track I remember from Dan Sampson's set...it would be Three Drives - Greece 2000! Beautiful!

As for Tiesto...I was getting really impatient when he finally started at 1130! About time! I was absolutely surprised (and more than happy) with Tiesto starting off with a harder sound...no fluff! The crowd was really really into it! It was one of the most hard-bangin' sets Tijs has played in DC! I must say I didn't recognize most of the tracks from the set! Tiesto slowed down and played one great surprise...Way Out West - Mindcircus! I remember he dropped it at his set @ Nation in October 2002. Ah...so many memories! I just about died! What else? I absolutely loved the remix of Adagio For Strings! The one track that owned me was...Katana - One Big Wave! It was also great hearing Till Ya Drop! I also went away with one new favorite...Rank 1 - [email protected]! I only wish I'd heard a few more of Tiesto's tracks...Lethal Industry, Ancient History, Traffic...or...Love Comes Again!

My biggest complaint about Tiesto's set was not getting enough of my Tiesto fix! Three hours is never enough! I'm used to Tiesto spinning 4-5 hour sets...just like the times I'd seen him @ Insomnia! And one more thing...the distorted bass was sometimes a pain! By the time I went home, I was coming down with a headache!

All in all...it was a great night! I'm glad I had the chance to see Tiesto once again!

Shoutouts to all the TAs and GNs that were part of an amazing night...Adam aka BigJimSlade (NU NRGGGGG!), Empath, Brian (great seeing you back in DC...thanks for the pics!), Keith and Sammy (great seeing you back in DC...you guys were sloshed!), Charlie (great seeing you back in the States!) Amy and Janette (as always...great seeing the lovely Glow girls!), Josy, Karma Energy and Karmas Girl, Ceza, DJSkillz (great you meeting you at last!), J-Biddy, Russ, Carolina, Bedrock Science, Koon, VinnieHHC, DJDL, Eddie aka 3iib, Amanda and Jonathan, Jose Galdamez, Gio, DJ Flight, Shamen DJ (NU NRGGGGG), Adam Nello (NU NRGGGGG)...sorry if I forgot anyone!!!!!

What a sick night indeed !!
I didnt think it was going to get that packed because of it being on a tues night but it actually got pretty crowded. To make matters worst, why were there bouncers near the dj booth pushing everyone back?.. is this a new policy? I dont remember this from before...bunch of aholes.

anyway, it was great seeing and hanging out everyone from the forum! Good times!

btw..... great pics brian!

honestly, i had a very good time. kept it sober pretty much the whole night, but some very evil ppl insisted on buying me drinks, haha. good times, but tiesto doesnt really do it for me anymore, i dont get pumped for him like i do armin, sasha, and deep dish. his mixing was excellent i do say. it was only very good time b/c of all the ppl that were there. like half the crowd was TA's it felt like. and thats why i had such a good time. i just dont know if i will ever see tiesto again on a regular night, all the hassle of the higher cover fee, and the amount of ppl that go to see him just isnt worth it to me anymore. but i had a good time regardless.

teisto was great. theres nothing like being right in the front of the dance floor as thousands shout a djs name whille 100,000 watts punches your spleen in.i never get tired of that sensation, that feeling you get when you see one of your favorite djs appear on stage.and that feeling is what makes me dj. the day i get tired of that feeling is the day ill hang up my headpohones.i think crowd interaction and club setup is a big part of the clubbing expeirience and glow does a fabulous jog of creating that scene.ve seen teisto many times and he gives the crowd what they ask for. you know what your going to hear if you see him. bangin trance. he had me dancin. as for him leaving like that. *shrugs* eh it was weird but ive never been into autographs so im never bothered by that stuff. if the dj comes down and talks, hey bonus, i got to have some cool conversations with some djs like lange marco v mike and others because they interact. if they dont, like pvd ,no big deal i had a good time, cuz if i wasnt i wouldnt be there till the lights come on. so overall the night was fantastic! hi to all the usuals !

GIVE TRANCE A CHANCE....

Glitter, I didn't play Flashdance. I know there was a time when hearing me playing meant hearing Flashdance (either the Meat Katie or Raul Rincon mixes..), but no longer!!

It was a fun night, although I had to leave early

Dan Sampson's set was awesome, I just wish that the Tiesto n00bs didn't start chanting T-Est-O an hour early (and way the fuck off beat). We got him back though, the Sampson chants were pretty fun. Thankyou for playing Greece and the other tune I can't remember the name of...

I recognized Empath there, but wasn't sure if it was him, otherwise i'd of said hello. I was the guy wearing a red shirt with number 71 on the back (ballbangers). My roommate was also there, he had a ragged out white t-shirt on and he's got dreadlocks (oh and he's a white guy). Wish I could've hung out with the glow crew, maybe next time i'll say hi if i recognize some faces.

P.S. I thought Tiesto at Cubik during the Just Be tour was the most awesomest time i've seen him

Posted by cryo on Mar-02-2005 02:11:

it was funny when people kept chanting 'tiesto' at the end of the night when Pete was spinning for over an hour...
