"Satoru Iwata revealed details about the Revolution at GDC. The Revolution will be powered by a processor from IBM called Broadway and a graphic processor from ATI called Hollywood. Nintendo intends to make Revolution the new capital of interactive entertainment.

Revolution will be backward compatible with GameCube, and have built-in Wi-Fi support, enable users to connect to the Internet wirelessly as well as communicating with Nintendo DS. Nintendo also plans to expand 3rd party support for Revolution."

I hope this time they actually do. Nintendo, who claims to be a huge supporter of innovation, should start investing more into those start-up companies who have good idea's but don't have the finances to get them out there.

And of course, 3rd party support. And when I say that, I mean that they have good support for their partners so that the Konami's, the Namco's, and the Capcom's don't have to waste unneccessary time and money to master the Revolution.

lets just hope that their "revolution"-ary new game console doesn't turn out to be a flop like some of their other products (or like the dreamcast)...... check this article out for the worst nintendo peripherals ever (http://www.gamer-talk.net/feature46.html).

i'm not saying it will suck, and in fact i've only owned two consoles ever (NES and xbox). i've never even tried gamecube, and only limited times have i tried SNES, or N64. but, i thought you guys would enjoy reading the article. i remember thinking the power glove would be the coolest controller ever, but i guess it wasn't........

Well...I gotta say it's a shame you haven't had a chance to try out the SNES, since it was probably the greatest console ever made. THe Gamecube is fun as hell too though, but its not anywhere near the SNES.

...Man...I think I'm gonna play some Mario Bros. 3...

I still think my Virtual Boy is worth playing.

Plus, Nintendo's got an arsenal of good games on the older consoles (NES/Famicom, SNES/SFC, N64, Gamecube). NOT TO BE MISSED!
