where is that hotel you guys are going to be playing @ miami???

Well, we were supposed to be playing every Wednesday, but it appears that the owner decided last night that he wants to change the format of the club to hip-hop, all but weekends. Bummer for the EDM community. There just isn't enough support on weeknights for a venue that size.

As far as Miami goes, we're playing at the Chesterfield Hotel. I'm playing on Thursday, the 24th at 10:30, I think, but we're there (Pulseradio, that is) from Monday-Thursday, all day each day.

No, we got a pretty raw deal. It was pretty apparent at about 11PM last night that the owner doesn't want EDM in the club at all anymore. He didn't even give us a chance. Downtown Orlando was a ghost town last night. It was cold, wet and just a night filled with bad circumstance. Bad luck, I guess. It happens. I learned a long time ago not to get emotionally involved with anything I do in this town. I do my best to promote the hell out of what I'm doing, play to the best of my ability and if people don't show, I don't sweat it anymore. At least I know that I did everything I could.

Sorry to hear this bad news. You're not alone. My residency ended when the club owner wanted me to play some hip-hop in my sets. That's when I walked out the door. Nothing else hip-hop but that's not what I'm playing and I'm not going to compromise my style because some club owner wants to cater to everyone.

I'm definitely a prog house DJ by nature, but I play across the board in EDM... minus jungle. If you, as an owner, don't like any aspect of what I play, then you just don't want EDM in your venue...

... not to mention he flat out said that he doesn't want EDM in there anymore. Myles Hie was right in calling Shenanigans on the Blue Room.

You're gonna spin trance or Prog or anything of that sort at the Chesterfield?

Not to sound rude, but good luck.

Eric (XxGrooveEricxX) spinned there last Friday, and that lounge is a HOUSE atmosphere. Trance didn't seem to fit there, and I love trance more than anything, except for girls.

This will be our third year in a row doing the Pulse party from the Chesterfield, and it has been a success in each of the two preceeding years. I'm not sure if you knew when we were talking about this happening, but this is during WMC, where all conventional South Florida preferences pretty much go out the window.

Regardless of that, it's not just me playing. We have a host of Pulse DJs from around the globe playing everything from DnB to house to breaks to prog to trance, so we should be alright.
