Social Distortion!

Or maybe try some FL Breaks, or drum n bass\jungle.

side note: Ive never been bored of trance. I guess its because I listen to so many other types of music; I switch around depending on my mood. Old School punk one day, hip hop another, then maybe ambient & down tempo the next.... etc. If I know its going to be a busy day at work it has to be something hard and fast to keep me working at a steady pace- DnB is great for this.

Hehe, the Noisician back to his normal self I see

Well, there's always the old-school. Also, prog-psy is still pretty good.

Other than that, there's loads of edm genres more interesting than trance. Techno, DnB, IDM, Ambient and so on. That's what I listen to mostly anyways...

Obviously you don't know shit about hip-hop. I don't want to turn this into another anti-hip-hop or pro-hip-hop thread, so i will just let it go. But just to say this, while not one of the best em cees when it comes to his flow and his delivery, he definitely was one of the best writers and simply a great poet. Also, Tupac "sometimes" or "never" had good beats? Please listen to Me Against The World album, which came out in 1995, and compare it to shit that gets released now days and you will see that Tupac had beats better than most people do now! Pac didn't have good beats? I can't help but laugh at that. All Eyez On Me, The Don Killuminati and even Strictly For My Ni**az all had good production.

i dont listen to 50 cent and all that "gamgsta" rubbish, uk hip hop is 10 million times more real.

Klashnekoff
Roots Manuva
Skinnyman
Scorzayzee

then theres the good american artists

Dead Prez
Immortal Technique
canibus

see it gets boring when every track released yaks on about how many cars, guns "ho's" they got.

What true hip-hop head listens to 50 cent? Are you smoking crack? And 50 is not a gangsta, he's a pop act.

UK hip-hop better than US? That's impossible my man. I like Roots Manuva, but, there is no way that any other place on earth will have hip-hop like the US. The African-Americans are its originators and it is their art form. They will always excel in it and that is simply a fact.

Listen to real shit like this:
Masta Ace
Cormega
Vakill
J-Live
MF Doom
Brother Ali
Cunninlynguists
Aesop Rock
The Roots
Talib Kweli
Gangstarr
Eric B. & Rakim
KRS-One
Grandmaster Flash

Uk hip hop will never be better than the US stuff but i prefer the uk stuff as at the moment its evolving fast and theres lots of good artists coming through.

IMO the hip hop scene would be 10 times better without these untalented arses like 50 Cent and "The Game", but just like in every genre they are the key to the better stuff. 50 Cent is how the kids get into hip hop and eventually they'll get to the good stuff.
