Oh my god! For real?

Yes, most of the ASOT releases are boring forumlaic fluff. I own Nexus Asia, Push Through, Sincere, and New Horizon, but those are the only ones I like out of the 40-odd releases the label has as this point (nevermind sublabels). To be honest, I wouldn't be able to identify the rest of them because they sound so similar and nondescript to me.

I really like Cern - The Message.....that's the only release that i own.

time to burn all my armin CDs....gahhh....to whomever, thanks for the reality check, I certainly needed it.

ASOT rules

says the guy whos getting buttseksd by armin in his sig, yes trance is getting really better .... i can just hear all those bangin new style on the horizon

I can't listen to a complete episode because there's no variation...it just doesn't do the trick for me. I prefer picking out the very few singles that I consider good.

Im not going to go into the radio show, some stuff is good on it, but alot of it can get boring, but its not really what I listen to anyways.

thats taking it a bit to far...

armin used to play quality stuff look @ the older episodes

I have one ASOT record its called:

True Form - Forbidden Colors

I did have Burning w/ Desire ( what was I thinking ) but thankfully I sold that on ebay

Posted by weymouth on Mar-04-2005 06:01:

I like the term minimal trance. Sometimes minimal isnt all that bad to listen to though.

Posted by sandstorm03 on Mar-04-2005 06:12:

forbidden colors mmm, i have it also

what's the difference ? they both sound the same to me , except for the vocals.

imo I think Stonecold is better than Josh Gabriel - Alive. I think Alive sounds more cheesier.

Posted by Cobalt on Mar-04-2005 07:04:

Actually the Stonecold vocals are among the few male vocals that I like.

Formulaic... that's the word right there!

I agree this is a marketing strategy, but for those who rely on ASOT to bring them the goods. I just don't see the goods??? I've got New Horizon (AMAZING BTW), Time, Frenzy & State of Emergy... but they are sooo different to the sound I heard with the rest.

Remember, I don't listen to ASOT, never caught a show once, but I'm really starting to wonder... if I did... would I get bored of trance like most people, or end up finding those killer tunes that people just pass over because it's not the typical ASOT sound?

ASOT the show is far from the quality of the releases

Its like judging Ajnuna releases by TATW

Posted by LouisC on Mar-05-2005 23:51:

This weeks ASOT I thought was pretty good. Some quality uplifting stuff!!! go second sun! woo!

Don't confuse ASOT the sublabel of Armada Music which this thread is about, and ASOT the show.
