Nick Warren -- GU 024 Reykjavik

I was saying that, by calling me an idiot, he hit the nail on the head!

Anyways, if I can lend any assistance to this matter instead of insulting myself:

It's hard to find an album comparable to Involver because of Sasha/Charlie/etc's signature touch on it. Have you listened to Airdrawndagger yet?

On a related note, In his profile it says:

"Favorite DJ or Producer Paul van dyke"

Some Hyper has a similar feel, especially if you like Ulrich Schnauss - On my Own. Bass guitar sounds, etc.

I'll fly you out to Boston just to kick your ass

much better then involver...

Fantastic album, dunno if I would say BETTER than Involver though. You would expect 14:31 to at least get a little boring after 20 listens, but no, it gets better each time. Really anybody who are into ambient should devote US$10/15 into this CD.

yea 14:31 is amazing

good old andy pointed out the cd, good choice

lee is right, get global communication's CD, it kicks the crap out of Involver, which I liked as well. GU026 was a complete drag and I don't understand how you can link it to Involver, same goes with ISOS 3 (yes rob, I found it fucking funny as well). Politics of Dancing is not that similar but PvD did re-edit, remix or rework all of the tracks like Sasha did with Involver.

very good point.

But even airdrawndagger doesn't sound like involver imo. I guess thats what makes sasha special is that each album he does is different. you can't build mutiple albums or tracks that sound like it as you could with other generic genre's of prog.

Nick Warren -- GU 024 Reykjavik is not exactly the same. but in my opinion both encompass the prog. house landscape and both kick ass. more like a suggestion rather than a replacement for involver.

well one is a mix cd and one is an artist album...

this one just came to mind as I was thinking about my cd collection:

Nu Breed -Satoshi Tomiie

Its not involver but close in musical quality IMO.

Dazdaking, do you try to be as big of an idiot as you are, or does it come natural?

Posted by MarathonMan on Mar-03-2005 22:22:

Involver is stoner music, try Kruder & Dorfmeister K & D Sessions
