well....what a night. my first party sience wintergalactic didnt dissapoint one bit.
orkidea: cant say enough good things about that man, superlative set, in my opinion he stole the show music wise but not energy wise - that goes to armin - also, orkidea is a really nice guy. i got to meet him and he came down from the booth to shake my hand and take a pic. freekin awesome.
"armis" van buuren: excellent.....just amazing. super set, tons of energy, tons of fun. got to get his autograph, he actually signed it "armis", just like the tic misprint. i laughed my ass off over that, also his reaction when he first noticed it... funny shtit.
the vibe was amazing... just right. also skybreak, i hate to disagree but i think the set up was way better than wintergalactic. different rooms for different styles, the decor was awesome, and having the dj booth out there like that allowed for more crowd interaction with the stars of the night. good call whoever decided on that. shout outs to all TA's i met especially arcticboy, thanks for the ride...best breakfast ever at mcdonalds no? hahahahahahaha!!
siiiiiiiiiick!!!!
this party was jus amazing to say the least...
the music, the vibe, the decor.... fantastic!!! and the stage on the floor... what an amazing idea. from top to bottom and room to room, this party was great.
back to back to back.... ian ossia, orkidea and armin van buuren... holy sheeeeeeeeeeeeit. although i did check out the other rooms, i spent most of the time in the main room. it felt like i spent the whole day there or something
MY BANNER?!?! for those who saw it and gave their props... thank you very much. I was standing by it during orkidea's set.. after i left, it either fell or was taken down
so for those who didn't see it... i apologize. I would have put it back up but it was soaked from the water/beer/liquid something behind the bar. the tape wouldn't hold it anymore. and after all the smirnoff ice... there was no way i was getting back on a ladder to fix it that high up there.
all in all... an amazing night. thank you sonic state. wintergalactic 2002?
peace
aj

Hey everybody, me and my bf finally made it back to Ottawa. What a trip we had. That was a great night. Thanks again halo20/whistler for the tix. Nice meeting everybody. Trancearmada, sorry we could go to the afterparty but we had to drive all the way home today. Niebieski, you kick ass, bracie!! Everytime I didn't see you for a while, I tought you left but no way, you were dancing the whole night. Trancextacy, you are huge man.
The tunes were great, but I was getting frustrated because I thought that Armin was spinning at 3 and then peeps were telling me that he wasn't there and I was afraid he wouldn't show but he did. Oh yeah, biggest surprise, Binary Finary - i was like what the fuck?!? That was wicked.
After sleeping for a big on Sunday, we went record shopping and there was a guy at a record store that looked exactly like Swamper. Is that your brother?? Got a whole bunch of records bor my bf. My friend Aileen really enjoyed herself too. It was only her second time at a rave.
And halo20, hilary is totally corrupted now.
Gotta sleep now.
Well i finally have enough energy to post about the party. I had a long day Saturday, as you can imagine being at the Docks helping the Sonic State crew decorate the place. The time i had was truely amazing, just being in a place where beautiful music, beautiful people, gorgeous decorations, and being around all my friends made my nite memorable. Spending 7 hours dressing the Docks up was so worth it; i think it created an atmosphere that truly captured the hearts of many. The centre stage working out perfectly, i think most people really appreciated it; it created an intimate interaction with the the DJs. The only reason the main room was extended all the way to the back at Wintergalactic was, we knew that it was gonna be rammed during Tiesto. Even then alot of people were crammed near the front. But for this party, there wasn't as many people to open up the whole area. This setup made it cozier don't you think? Everyone i spoke to had an amazing night. The night went quite smoothly and all the sets that i heard were off the hook. As much as i love Armin's music, i have to say my favourite set of the night had to be Orkidea's. His music is simply beautiful. I only wish i could see more of his performances.
I didn't get to meet any you tranceaddicts, since i had to run around the place, i had to do guestlist outside for a bit too. I only met one of you, Ruffryder(sp), nice seeing you. Hope you had a great time. The tranceaddict banner fell down?? hahah i didn't even notice. It looked good while it was up. Thanks to all my close friends that were there, i forget how i miss partying with all of you together. Being with friends that i hardly see anymore was an absolute delight. I thank you STATE for uniting so many people that i care about.
A final thanks to Nick & Andre, everyone in the Sonic State family, and decorating crew to a fabalous night. Until next time...god bless.

oh wow
oh wow
what an amazing party.
armin has been easily my favorite dj for a long long time and oh so long have i waited for this day.
his set absolutly blew me away.
the whole set i was waiting for it.. i knew he was going to spin it.. he had to spin it and the second i heard those first few notes from communication i tear rolled down my cheek in happiness that the day finally arrived.
thank you everyone who went to this party for making it the very best one i have ever been to. the vibe in the place was amazing.
my only complaint is that armin should have been a bit earlier. but no worries
I could go on and on and on
This thread will probably never end, why because there are soo many funny/great stories to go around.
1) Stereoprincess, you guys always amaze me, willing to party everywhere and anywhere but where you live?? hah Nice seeing you out. And yes Hilary is corrupted.
2) The vestax thing is really strange. I saw him shaking his head all night?! Armin kept making strange ass faces (if you got up close you know what I mean) when mixing. Was the one deck screwed? Or was he making a comment on the Vestax quality? Strange no doubt.
3) Who took those digital group pics of us? And why aren't they up yet?!?
4) Who was that tall gorgeous woman wearing the t-shirt rolled up so it was a mid-riff? Honestly?!? I talked to her for five mins, but she said she was just a lurker. Well read this honey, get an account! hah Is it you eevil_kat?
5) Swamper, ya missed out. That apple was the best thing I'd ever tasted in my life.
Jon
AVB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
w000000000000000000t
What a fucking kick ass night.. avb was totallly amazing.. probably one of the best sets ive ever heard.. it reminded me of Corstens set at the guvernment... totally amazing..
It was great seeing all the Tranceaddicts again, Swamper, red, richie, skybreak, tsi, shmacks, my brother haha.. and the rest of ya'll... !!*puff*
Armin totally pumped us up playing an amazing hard set with some great classics inside it like Binary finary 2000 (gouryella mix), communication and ending off with MAJOR LEAGUE - Wonder where you are(a fucking amazing uplifting anthem track)
all in all the party was great and the drive down to toronto from ottawa was well worth it. Orkidea played an amazing set as well and i was not disapointed what so ever
I still dont know whether Armin played the deep dub of such is life or not.. what ever it was it was an amazing track (reminded me of gielens set at dance department)...
DID ARMIN PLAY 2 FANCY FAIRS simultaniously ? THAT WAS TOtalLY FUCKING WICKED
- "... ask yourself.. can you really dance to my beat?"

Anywayz..I hope you guys recover well in the next few days (weeks??
) and this thread made me decide to really start saving up now so I can be there with all you guys next year!!
Love, Proxi
ppppphheeew..sounds great
after making me jealous ould u please tell me how the hell u recognized each other?
Whats makes some1 look like a TA?
Or did u wear TA-t-shirts? having TA-tatoos? hm hm?
we all had name tags...kinda a good idea...tho i got teased by a few ppl lol....its cool tho ill sport the sitee =)
un bee leee va bil
armin is the greatest deejay of the day!!!!!!!!!
he really knows how to move the crowds.
and he is soo kind...... he signed me an autograph and i took a picture with him. i didn't realize he is that kind of person, his music really refglects his personality. in pvd's set, paul didnt gave much attention to the crowd. avb is the guy to beat!!!!!!!
keeep on movin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yea Armin is really kind. I managed to get a handshake and his autograph which totally made my day. It was unbeleivable to see him live and in person...especially since I watched the video swamper posted of him only the day before....In the top 100 Dj list be placed 23rd, but in mine, he's second if not tied for first with my all time fav. Tiesto.
I saw that gorgeous girl too! (mid-riff TA shirt) I saw her w/ swamper+gf and figured she must be a frequent poster here so I told myself to remember to ask about her here if i didnt get to talk to her. Towards the end of the day I was leaning against one of the huge subs near coat check waiting for my friends and she passed by and gave me the sexiest smile....!! Now my legs were worn and all but i was standing, then she walks by and made my knees weak!
I wanted to say something but by then she was lost in the crowd
For the guy that got her digits, I'd definately reconsider wether or not to dial them. hehe. Its all good, I had a hard time being loyal last nite, she just made it worse
I survived tho!
I did get teased about the T-A nametags....some people shook their heads, some people though it was neat and then some actually pulled me aside to ask where the rest of the TAs were ....at the end of the day the sticker fell off to my dissapointment...i think its time to invest in a TA shirt.
This has been a crazy 2-3 months. Corsten, Tiesto, PVD and now Buuren. Wow...moving to canada was the best thing i did!
WHOA!
Like WHOA!
ALl right... after getting enough rest from that party (my best birthday party ever, too!), let me just say the Docks was one SICK place to be on this Saturday night!
The decorations by Sonic State crew were great, the lights/lasers were awesome, the crowd was great and Djs were just amazing (except for Ossia, I wasn't really impressed by him, I dunno why)!
I didn't meet many of you TA's last nite, except a guy from Brampton (Polish, wearing white "CK Jeans" top) and his buddy (Jay I think it was your name bro)... sorry bro, but I just can't remember your nick.
Maybe the reason why I didn't meet many of you was that I was dancing my ass off to Orkidea and AVB, and was mainly chilling with the rest of the "Slavs"...
Anyway, the track selection by Djs was superb, and hearing some of those songs I love so much live, in a club, with all of you great people around, was just overwhelming! And I got Armin to sign my ticket (he signed it "Armis", what a joker!), and I shook his hand...
...that man was just unbelieveable! He didn't let me rest with all the tunes he played, and I ended up taking a 15 minute break just cuz I was losing any feeling in my legs and I thought I was gonna collapse at one moment... I have never danced that much in my life!
Thanks and props go to Andre & Nick (I just met you guys a week ago, and you're already my heroes!) and the rest of the Sonic State crew, my SLAVS, and of course - DJs! Armin & Orkidea, thank you, thank you, thank you so much... what a beautiful birthday gift!
I just hope SS Crew is planning something even better for the next party...
HOLY SHIT-O!!!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- WOW! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
From the minute i got in there, to the moment i got out, i was like, "WOW!".
I got in later than 3am, but Orkidea was still spinning when me and my buddy entered...wikked set by Orkidea by the way...i have definately got to watch out for him next time.
The place looked really nice, an excellent job done by the Sonic State crew, i really liked the TA dancer on the 2 big screens out front.
I saw alot of TA's there, and this one girl with a rolled up TA t-shirt, who was hangin around some guy with spiked hair...i can see that she got alot of peoples attention, LOL!
NE wayz...Armin was 'furious' at the decks, his set was really good...no dull tracks, all uplifting stuff...That man kept the crowd moving all night looooooooooooong!! Although i didn't like the way he ended his set with that sudden stop...but the encore was great...
AVB's got a wikked passion for what he does, and that's what makes him great!
I enjoyed myself immensly, the music was great, the bass was pounding, and on that same day i had to be at work at 9:00 am for an 8hr shift! LOL! Now that's f*cked up!
Great night...got pics...will post them up soon...
Cheers.

The party last night was really great. After attending Sonic State's Wintergalactic party in Feb, I vowed never to miss any of their future parties- those people KNOW how to throw a good party! The decorations and visuals were top notch. They really transformed the Docks. The underwater projections on the wall when you entered the club were really cool.
Ian Ossias played a good progressive set. Orkidea came on & really rocked the the house (< he also played at Winterglactic, & I really enjoyed him then too). At one point during his set, they had an electric violinist up on a speaker, playing along to the music! It was really something special! And, of course, AVB was amazing! He played a great set, & he made sure to sign autographs for everyone, & even stuck around afterwards for more autographs & photos with the fans. I think he was touched by the sheer number of people who wanted to meet him afterwards.
Much respect to Sonic State & the talent they brought in for this party.
