That's so sad that they had a family and kids on the way. Let me take this napkin and wipe away my tears... ohh boo hooo....

It's their job, and if something goes wrong, I'm not going to be crying about it on a trance forum. too fucking bad, shit happens.

They know what they're doing, it's their job to put their life on the line.

Who knows the whole story on this POT deal gone sour. From the looks of it was a piece of the profit between four of them when it backfired by a crazed fool redneck.

Waste of life for a plant, I have more sympathy for the guys who get their dick chopped off by crazy bitches.

One redneck owned four trained mounties?

That's just sad, these guys are supposed to be the shit.

These shootings had nothing to do with Marijuana...that's the angle the press took to get headlines. Here's what I read:

- The cops raided his place to recover stolen property, not marijuana. It was merely a coincidence.

- the shooter was a sociopath who hadn't seen his brother and father who live within minutes for like 10 years.

- This guy had constant dealings with the RCMP and had previously shot at them, had spike belts on his property and had an intense hatred for their "harassment" of his being.

- All shooting took place in his quanset (large barn). I'm assuming he took up a position where he could see the doors and picked them off as they tried to enter.

It's a sad day and I for one, truly question the training of those RCMP officers. Honestly, four is too many. Heck, this many RCMP officers haven't died on one occassion since the Louis Riel Rebellion in the late 1800's

One guy ..(Which the cops knew about ,that he was a violent person, had clashes with the police) Killed 4 trained officers.
I smell something fishy,we are not being told the whole truth.

Even if he did set up a shooting place hide for himself ,he would only get one cop ,the other one would not enter the same way. And he would have enough time to call for backup.

Something deffinatly they are not telling us.

You forgot to mention that:

-the killer was released from custody by a Justice of the Peace just before the shooting

-he had a long list of criminal convictions, including a two and a half year prison term for sexually assaulting a boy

-he used a semi-automatic, assault-style rifle to mow down all 4 Mounties within seconds from a sniper position

-Alberta does not have its own provincial police force; the RCMP have that role there

all very true...as we can see...this situation had nothing to do with growing anything

All of those facts sound very true, unfortunatly he was apparantly a well known criminal......

That's why I think dirty officer(s) were involved. This story stinks of a coverup. Thou the thought that our RCMP blows is right up there too

I blame it on Robbie G... it's all your fault, ******.

Very shocking and sad to hear about 4 RCMP officers die in the line of duty.

I dont smell any conspiracy here, just some psychopath gone insane. The only thing that really puzzles me is that he shot himself afterwards - that really makes me think if there was more than just one bad guy ... we may not find out about that, not at least after the complete crime scene analysis

Posted by Transmotion on Mar-06-2005 13:25:

they were trained, they had bulletproof vests and AIMing for a headshot is not a matter of a 2 seconds that a shooter has while someone enters the door.

Posted by colonelcrisp on Mar-06-2005 13:40:

the big quesiton is why were 4 officers raiding a farm suspect of weapons and marijuana violations without backup, and why did 4 trained officers go into a shed. its a tragedy but it shouldnt have happened, the shooter must have been one hell of a shot to be able to do that with a rifle. but this should hardly be blamed on drugs, if anything it re-affirms the fact that firearms are pretty unnessesary int his day in age

Sad At Queens Park Provincial Buildings

I was on my way to work, via TTC bus along Avenue Road, on my way I passed by the Queens Park Provincial Buildings, where I noticed that the flags at the front of the building were all half way down. This must be because we have lost those RCMP officers in that drug raid.

It's so sad!

my condolences to those families that have been affected by this horrible drug raid that ended up bloodbath of death.

day 2

RCMP

Four of Canadas finest all gunned down.

The flags at Queens Park are still half way down the poll.

seems like officers never had a chance in the first place, regular 5.56mm takes out two men standing one behind another.

well im sorry for the families of the victims. but i still agree

'FUCK THE POLICE'

It was a mistake that shouldn't have happened. There are far too many discrepancies there, and no one seems to be asking the right questions as to how something like this could have happened.
