Interesting turn of events:

1. The pro-Syrian PM just got reinstated back into office, seemingly partially due to that huge pro-Syrian rally:

2. This one seems like a root canal for the Bush Administration:

So not only are we cooperating with this known terrorist group who's attacked Americans in the past, but we're also cooperating with, uhhhh - France?!? and the UN?!?

So the two questions I have are:

1. Does this mean we can rename "Freedom Fries" back to "French Fries" soon?

2. Bush said countries supporting terrorism are not with us, but rather are against us. Why are we seemingly now against ourselves?

Why does Bush hate America?

kinda short sided question don't you think? can't he be "with the country" and not support certain minority parties within the Parliament? i mean jeez, diplomacy is not a river in Egypt.(<--wtf?)

Well putting my tongue-in-cheek attitude aside, what I'm depicting here is taking on Bush's rhetoric - black and white, "with us or against us", you know...

The point being here is that we are "grudgingly" aiding Hezbollah, a well-known terrorist group who's killed Americans in the past, killed Israeli's, and who's still on the State Dept. terrorist list, into becoming more into the Lebanon political fray. We are, in essence, directly aiding a terrorist group (along with France and the UN to boot - don't think Bolton would like that one!).

Whether one agrees with our actions or not is not the point I'm making (and yes, I do tend to agree with our actions because it will likely bring the most stability to the country). The point here is that Bush states he doesn't support terrorists of any kind, and yet we see the exact opposite.

And I'm not sure what you mean by not supporting minority parties, if that you mean the Hezbollah group. They are widely supported by the Shiites, which by most accounts make up approx. 40% of Syria. Hardly a minority party, especially when compared to the approx. 20% of Maronite Christians, the anti-Syrian groups who held the much smaller rallies prior to this huge pro-Syrian rally (some Druz and Sunnis were admittedly involved in the anti-Syrian rally too).

I guess Bush should bomb Washington these days and start a hunt for himself...

hehe, true! He said he would attack everyone that is even just supporting a terror organisation!
