And house gave birth to trance. Like BT said, house is the father and trance is the bastard step child

I'm just curious...so do you call anything that's catchy or melodious "cheese"?

I call anything that's just there for making money and now pushing the music forward cheese. Producer's that use the same things over and over again and not trying anyting new just as long as they make money and are famous mainly in the pop charts.

But hey I don't wanna (and can't be bothered to) start another what's cheese what's trance discussion.

My fav trance groups are OceanLab and Rimini Project (I do like some of Fragma's productions).

Anything there we can agree on?

lol Oceanlab, I like most of Above & Beyond's stuff (Don't like the fact Trance Around The World is with MoS though ). Fragma I don't like.

edit: I am well aware that A&B remixed a Fragma track and I did say most of their stuff not all.

Fragma can get pretty cheap at times. But I still like them for "Time and Time Again", "You Are Alive", "Everytime You Need Me" (and don't massacre me for this one: ) "Man In the Moon".

Do you like Rimini?

Posted by Alexan on Mar-14-2005 13:12:

no, why does it matter?

Posted by Hydarnes on Mar-14-2005 13:14:

lets not forget that although america was the "birthplace" or rock n rool, jazz etc. they were also the birthplace of britney spears, the backstreet boys and american idol. that pretty much takes away their street cred. that and jimi hendrix couldnt make it big in the us till after we moved to england.....

the US had its fare share of solid rockers tho. its just that in this day in age, most of it sucks...... honestly i think poison and twisted sister should get back together, and the kiss army should unite and we can all sing moma im comming home at the top of our lungs for world peace........ errr um im gonna get some sleep, im starting to bable like an idiot... well more than usual anyways

Hahaha.

Do you have any idea what you're talking about?

Posted by dravencore3 on Mar-14-2005 20:45:

good suggestions

Thanks for all the list of great tunes. Yeah flashdance doesn't sound euro at all but it's great fun tune. It is still considered dance though since it's not on the mainstream light or in MTV US
