Aural Imbalance - Intuition
Norman Feller - Frameless Structure

...I can't recommend the Intuition cd enough. Aural Imbalance are highly underrated and their sound is very deep, dubby, and atmospheric. Norman Feller's (aka Terry Lee Brown Jr.) album is very good as well if you like FSOL. It's not the usual tech-house as expected, but downtempo and quite deep and ambient. You can't go wrong with either cd.

That Feller album was a real surprise to me. I knew most of his work from the early Music Research output like Phasis and, er, Norman -pretty much simple, quality German trance from its infancy. When I saw Frameless Structure in a shop, I thought I'd give it a go, wondering what he'd been up to in recent years.

Was I ever surprised to have stumbled across one of my favourites of 2004 (yes, it was released a year before... I didn't come across it until a year later. Sue me ). It's very simple on the surface, but filled with the kind of depth all the best dub releases have.
