tearing up my pool

wake out 2/4 left in my final four

First year I didn't enter into a tournament, and I'm glad I didn't, lol. Had Wake winning it all, so much for that pick!

Well at least now I can just cheer on the times I like, instead of who I picked which is normally how it goes. And my Cats are still in there, so they're my hope to win it now.

Holy crap that Wake Forest / West Virginia game was good. I never yelled so much at a tv in my life.

Lot of good stories and games so far this year even if everyone's brackets on planet earth are destroyed. Bucknell and Vermont who would have thunk?

well so far, texas tech and west virginia have done their jobs for me .. now awaiting for florida and wisconsin to finish it off ..

Billy Donovan hasn't been there since he had Andrew Declerq and "Da Meathook"......i think that was back in the days when Marcus Camby was considered an elite player still

Only teams left to root for now for me are Villanova and West Virginia.

I came thissssssss close to picking Utah over Syracuse for the Final Four -- if I had, all four would still be in the game.

what a great 4 games there .. (well not illinois-wisconsin-milwaukee, since that was a gimmee for the illini ) ..

but arizona-osu was a very goot matchup .. arizona should have won that game by a lot (come on .. they were shooting above 65% the whole game .. ), but osu fought back, and lost by 1. the illinois-arizona match should be a historical classic in the making ..

Louisville made a nice statement game to washington last night.i would love to see Louisville vs. Kentucky finals,unfortunately i am pretty sure if kentucky wins tonight they will not escape Duke

im rooting for louisville. i like what pitino has done with that program. i dont really like garcia because i think he cries about every call but the fact remains that he can play with the best of them. i really want to see them matchup against the illini if they both make it to the final four. right now i have it as illinois, louisville, unc, and duke (yea no shockers in there).

wvu vs louisville ..
arizona vs illinois .. ..

i am telling you .. the ncaa tournament is the time when little boys become big men .. ask mateen cleeves .. william avery .. donald williams ..

same will go for t.dean from louisville .. d.williams from illinois .. m.pittsnogle from west virginia.. c.frye from arizona .. big props for them .. really raising their nba draft stock value in the future ..

especially dean .. if he made that GW shot at the end of the 4th, everyone would be jumping on top of him like some kind of group orgy .. .. never mind .. but he really raised his stock value .. probably from a early 2nd rounder to mid 1st rounder at best .. he showed some grit out there with his injury ..

and also one thing that stands out ..
west virginia -- 18 3-pointers
illinois -- 16 3-pointers

.. i think the ncaa should move that line back 1 foot .. 19 feet is way too close now ..

now it's the big showdown ..

Seriously, this season for Illinois has been magical through and through. Last night was something akin to divine intervention. I love it.

Louisville is tough, but O'Bannon will be key. We saw last night what Illinois' guards can do defensively (Stoudamire only 2-13 from the field). Garcia and Dean will likely face the same shutdown defense next weekend (and who said Dean will go in the first round? There's no way in the world...). O'Bannon will have to play huge to compensate for the lack of production from the guards. Channing Frye almost played big enough last night... but the Illini are gritty, gutsy survivors.

The only three Final Four teams so far... I called all of em.

Louisville vs UNC in the final and UNC should win it. which will also be Roy Williams 1st title

little late but sad west virginia is done, one of the most impressive shooting performances ever seen. I can't believe 2 D-OT games and another OT game in the elite 8. As crazy as the brackets have been this year two of the favorites to win it all picked by most are still hanging around, NC and Illinois.

did God take away the whistles from the refs? so many no calls down the stretch. illinois was playing more physical than their football team. but you cant deny that illinois made their shots and the game is over.

i was pulling for a louisville-illini matchup in the tournament before the brackets came out and it will finally happen. i wasnt sure about louisville coming out of that bracket since they had G.T. in the second round and then washington. i think the teams matchup pretty good except louisville rebounds better but illinois plays tougher defense. should be a tough matchup for both teams.

I think this was the best weekend of Basketball i have watched in a long time..every game was involving and gotta love the never give up attitudes ..wish Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady could watch this and maybe learn something(yes i am bitter over the whole we stopped trying comments). Go Lousiville,But i think i owuld like Roy Williams to finally get his title...man has been so close so many times.
