that old-school rock style like :

the white stripes
the strokes
the hives
jet
yeah yeah yeahs
modest mouse
franz ferdinand
the killers ..

and on and on ....

all that stuff came after emo. the emo boom happened like ~3 or 4 years ago. i think it would be classified as the day Dashboard Confessional's music video was featured on MTV.

Modest Mouse has been around for a LONG time. No, I'm not emo but for some reason I love Modest Mouse I wouldn't really call them emo either, they are more indie. They do whatever the fuck they wanna do which is what makes them so great.

yeah metros do rule...same with the lifting weights thing. that emo shit is only in high school. i was djing a party (being a dj helps too) about 3 or 4 months after i had started lifting...aaaaaaallll these girls were like "hey bas are you losing weight" or "wow you look good" or "nice shirt...shows off your arms" or my favorite "what the hell are you playing?"...wait that was my least favorite

yay for metros that lift weights! on a side note you could always find a hot girl that likes metros...like my girl did tee hee hee

modest mouse and deathcab for cutie have both been around for over 8 -9 years from what i can remember from the local music scene. so... Modest Mouse beat the emo movement by roughly 5 years. They were a good influence in the movement though.

I take plenty of showers, thank you very much.

I just hate shoping for clothes with a passion, I hate malls and department stores too.

Money is for records and for more electronics... Not clothing...

My little brother is a metro in training... UGH... all he spends his money on is clothes and shoes, and work out equipment....

I got hope, my friend is a nerd, and he hooked up with a nerdy girl who is pretty cute, not to mention the daughter of a billionare oil tycoon....

I'll help you out bro. Seriously.
