Originally posted by DJ NGE I don't like it because i think it's crap, i even think it's a big piece of cheese, IMO the synthesizers just sound awful. That has nothing to do with Ferry's mix. I do have a "Adagio for Strings 'Remix'" Whitelabel here (according to discogs, this is a mat silver vs. tony burt remix), which i like very much. IMO Tiesto's stuff since Traffic is througout cheese, apart from tracks like "Walking on Clouds", but those are collaborations.

Originally posted by skip bleeeeehhhh!!! phynn remix, dj danjo & styles remix and fred baker remix all are pretty crap IMO. tisto's original IMO is still the best version. i hope they'll release the full version on some cd single now then so i could get it finally.

I like the Danjo & Styles remix the most by far... can't say I enjoyed what I've heard of any other of the other mixes released under the Tisto artist name so far
its an ok mix....i really expected way more from phynn, lots more melodies and stuff....the tune itself is nice..the transition into the main melody kinda sux for me....

all remixes of this tune are terrible. the only one i kind of like is the Danjo & Styles remix.
ferry
tiesto
danjo & styles
phynn
baker
really like the cd cover!

The original Tiesto Mix surprised me when i first heard it, as obviously people wait with bated breath when a classic is reworked. But i just find it incredibly cheeky that Tiesto has seemingly taken the credit for the original melody and commissioned remixes by Fred Baker/Phynn/Danjo&Styles, to anyone unfamiliar with the original William Orbit mix, they would think Tiesto made it himself.
Is it me or does it seem ludacris to remix a remix? 3 times?

I wish they'd leave this alone.
The Ferry Corsten remix was about the only one that could just about justify a trance remix!
The classical 'remix' (words to the Agnus Dei)was nice though!

CAn someone tell my why THE FU*K the vinyl is labeled as TIESTO - ADAGIO FOR STRINGS??wtf did tiesto had to do with Adagio For Strings instead of just remixing?its not his track..he didn't composed or produced it? Damn Tiesto...taking all the credit as usual for the money

i'll just post my reply from this thread here.

Originally posted by skip oh my! here we go again. if you make a cover of a track you release it under your own name. look at all the rock/pop covers for example. you don't see joan jett - i love rock 'n roll (britney spears remix) now do you? and he did not remix william orbit's version either and he didn't remix samuel barber's original, he did produce the track, but what he didn't do is compose it. even if he had wanted to release it as william orbit - barber's adagio for strings (tisto remix) or samuel barber - adagio for strings (tisto remix) he couldn't do it without the permission of the artists. and OMG above & beyond ripped off tomaso giovanni albinoni when they named their track rollerball - albinoni or the london symphony orchestra ripped off vivaldi for example for releasing some tracks he composed on a cd. ![]() plese, get your facts together before you start that pointless bashing.

Originally posted by skip well i have no idea whatsoever what he meant and that's why i'm asking. seems more like pointless bashing to me (because tisto isn't cool) tbh.
If i'm not wrong Tiesto actually used William Orbits song as the basic for his adagio for strings. Read it somewhere.
phynn rmx is good.... better than tiesto's rmx
but ferry's one is THE story
