AvB not being on the list is a joke. He fills up clubs more than most of those DJs.

Personally, I think this list is quite rigged. Or maybe someone at BPM hates AvB so much, they intentionally left him out.

It's not a matter of whether or not I like AvB or anyone else likes AvB, but given his status around there world and here in the states, there is absolutely no way he would be out of the Top 150...hell, out of the top 10-25.

Maybe they disqualifed him for some reason

Arman Van Helden is a popular house DJ, I doubt that would happen.

I just think Americans just value house Dj's more than trance.

AvB isnt playing the mainstage at Ultra either.i guess hes not so popular in the US?

Posted by Sthlm on Mar-18-2005 22:51:

i don't care for that list because BT, Infusion, and AvB aren't on the list.

wtf mate?

Americans think DJ Sammy is techno, they have no clue...

Surprising to see Christopher Lawrence at a lower spot than in MixMag's list considering this is a U.S. magazine.

pppft...americans and their gay house. it makes sense though, as many of these djs actually get play on the radio on weekend nights and such. so it doesn't surprise me that they make the list.

no scott bond, matt hardwick? a shamefull list.

Posted by RapidFire on Mar-19-2005 03:38:

I agree with the majority; this list sux0rz. Where's BT? He made 92 on the 2004 list and he's not even in the 150? Then there's the matter of Darude even being on the list. He hasn't made a blip on the radar since 2000.

Posted by denys envy on Mar-19-2005 03:42:

certainly shows how much america knows about EDM

BT sucks as a DJ and always has.

Techno used to have a very strong gay background too...

BTW, as much as I think AVB isnt very popular in america, with tiesto pvd and atb so far up on the list, I would expect that he would show up somewhere in the top 150...If I was to make a stupid guess I would say that people spelled his name wrong so many times, that they had the votes spread out amoung a bunch of djs named "Armen Van Burren" "Armin Van Buuren" "Armin Vin Buren" "AVB" etc...thus no spelling of AVB achieved a fair amount of votes.

ASOT is t3h sux0rz anywayz.

I never understood why people get tangled in poll results.

Anyone with a minimal foundation in statistics understands that it is all about the size of and whom you poll. Plus the integrity of the numbers. Face value equals shit.

The mere fact that folks are discussing this means they won.

Does anybody really need someone else to tell them who is #1?

Be independent and think for yourself.

Revolting reading.

Looking at the top 10 or even top 25 makes me think otherwise.

Posted by colonelcrisp on Mar-19-2005 09:43:

ask yourselves this question

who really gives a shit what a magazine says about what rank your fav dj's are in....

and

ASOT is the sUx0r +1

I can understand why Van Buuren isn't on that list, but Dieselboy is American...
