I would give some to charity?
I am embarrassed by this interview. The more I hear about Armin (cheating in the BPM poll and getting disqualified, now this shite Maxim interview), the less I like him. It's hard to respect someone like this.
i like maxim , good mag!! my girl janie janie did the interview right there representin'!!!!!1 hahah
as for armin ,well, he does get hit on a lot, and he is in the top 5 djs of the world and he has the credentials to fucking show off all he wants, hell, i would do it too! and if u dont like , i guess, u can fuck off lol
p.s.: i know someone in here will take this post personally, don't. ok thanks.

You guys, stop taking this so serious! It's a fuckin Men's magazine for christ sake! What else did you bloody expect? Check out other interviews they do for Maxim and FHM and you'll get the same kind'a typical responses, coz that is what the editors want.

After seeing that clip from The Club on spike tv with Armin I can picture him talking like that. I like that he shows he really just is a college kid living out his dream. I can assure theres now way hes the only dj who acts this way either.
Just like everyone else said its just Maxim. Most people they inverview show a completely different side because its a more laidback type of interview.
I enjoyed it
goooooooo Armin hehe.
no no no i dont mean aobu tthose things, im talking about like when he talks abou tdj techniques and buyin equipment, he never sounded like that before

| Originally posted by daffodil hi. i interviewed armin and wrote the piece. i also had to cut and edit about ten pages of transcript down to the roughly 300 words you see there. maxim has a certain tone to it, and everything that is in the magazine, particularly the short pieces like this one, have to stick to the tone. armin was very cooperative in providing the kinds of anecdotes that go with the magazine. there was no where near enough space to go into detail that would be useful for anyone who knows dance music, but that's not really maxim's audience. you've probably never heard armin speak like that because you've never seen him in a publication like maxim. personally, i was delighted to be able to feature EDM in a mainstream publication that wasn't making fun of it in some way. you have no idea how hard it is to get any sort of respect for EDM. and yes, it is a typical men's magazine. again, i'm STILL impressed (and very happy) that this piece managed to run the way it did. trust me, it's a good thing. |
Hey Daffodil one word - WICKED!
Can't believe you got to interview him. Now do you have the unedited version for us TA fan to read?

haha, I like his analogy of beatmatching "If you dont get it right, it sounds like shoes in a dryer."
I'm going to use that.
