ticketmaster tix are more expensive, cuz u pay taxes and service charge. Tix @ other stores usually dont have Service charges...It saves u like $2.00 in the end, but for a poor college student....
A counteropinion to all the star-struck people in here.
I seriously wouldn't want to pay $30 (plus costs of the drive from Edmonton) to go to a Max Bell party and have to step over all the tarded out people deciding to camp out on the dancefloor while drooling over their "superstar" DJ Tiesto. I do NOT feel paying $30 (these are earlybird tickets, mind you) for ANY party period. Not even if Jesus Christ himself was spinnin. Somebody playing records for two hours does NOT deserve the money they're getting.
Also, I do NOT want to support Def-Star and Keith Rebuliak - the person who blamed the downfall of the Calgary rave scene on bad Ecstasy, who called Jeff Mills a Schizophrenic, and who caused the Ascension 2000 fiasco in Edmonton, resulting in intense media and police scrutiny of the scene. The same Def-Star who keeps bastardizing the parties and making them into advertising campaigns for tobacco companies (B&H anyone?). Everybody going to this show is being proverbially ass-raped by Def-Star.

How long is Tiesto's set, and at what time?
Keith told me that it would be 2- 21/2hrs and he'll start playing at 2 o'clock in the am.

I flew to fucking Europe to see Tiesto among others and payed in some cases (gatecrasher sss/Ibiza) nearly $100, and I would do it again in an instant. And secondly if your too cheap to shell out $60 to come to Calgary to listen to Tiesto, one of the pinnacle trance dj's, your a discrace to trance and to this website, I better not see you in here again you faggit!

and def-star isnt doing anything wrong by getting their events sponsored by b&h, it cuts the cost and helps with promotion not to mention the hotties who walk around all night selling smokes, if it was'nt for defstar the scene in calgary would not even be close to where it is today, personally i like big name dj's they bring a better vibe to the party, not to mention people, what are you going to do on the 15th go to some communinity centre rave with your fat girlfriend and cheer for the poindexter who wants to be like tiesto but can't mix worth shit just because your a stupid "underground head" who is to cool to go to a defstar party because the ascensoin line up was to long? keith called my friend a name! awwww that's to bad, i got a suggestion for you next time you want to downtalk a trance dj on a trance forum.....don't do it especially not here cause we don't care about your negative opinion on defstar tiesto or anything for that matter, so fuck off!

Keith is the founder and owner of Defstar. The only production company in Calgary who has been able to stay around to consistantly bring good shows. I give Keith props for continuing to try to get the scene in Calgary to blow up!
Tuss, you have amazed me. Just listen to yourself, could you POSSIBLY be sucking off keith more than that. The calgary scene wouldn't be where it is now without Def-star ? That's true. It would be a lot better without that roadshow "company". Calgary had an amazingly vibrant and energetic scene until *ahem* certain people decided it would be in their personal interest to try and cash in on the whole thing.
Big DJs bring a better vibe, hey ? Totally. Nothing screams out "vibe" more than a "I want $20 000 to play records for 2 hours" Rockstar DJ.

speaking of which, calgary TA's, our department is having our christmas party on the 13th, it's a private party at the cherry lounge and our own dj's
my friend/classmate brett is spinning (ask j-spot about him)
so calgary TA's are invited
