I just posted a few of my NYC trip photos from last week in the photos thread. Should I re-post here?

Posted by Vlad on Mar-30-2005 17:09:

Its hard to make a list of good restaurants in NYC since there are so many, my only suggestions is to either get a Zagat booklet with all the ratings and stuff or to look it up on newyork.citysearch.com and clicking on the restaurants tab.

dude, that'd be awesome!
i have a friend playing trombone in the pit band... i really want to go see it & support him.

RE: coming from Philly
You can take the Septa R7 to Trenton, which takes about 40 mins or so (exact times avail on www.septa.com) and then NJ Transit to NY, which takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes (www.njtransit.com). The train from Trenton is NEVER under an hour unless you're riding Amtrak.

RE: maps
I prefer maps.yahoo.com for maps of exact addresses. I think the driving directions are slightly better than mapquest too, but I can't be sure because I rarely use directions from the internet.

thanks for putting this together Daniela!! It is awesome.

Rachel

I take the NJ Transit out of Trenton into Penn Station. $15 for round trip. Not even an hour trip! It's only a 7 minute cab ride to Crobar and Spirit from Penn Station.

Your getting robbed, it's more like a 7 min walk from Penn Station, cab there should take you like 2 min.

It wouldn't be so hard to begin to compile a list by location, followed by cuisine and/or price.

--------------------------------------------------

Name:
Prem-On Thai

Location:
Greenwich Village
138 West Houston St (Sullivan & McDougal)

Cuisine:
Thai

Prices:
3 / 5

Phone:

--------------------------------------------------

Name:
Smoked

Location:
Manhattan
103 2nd Ave (at 6th St.)

Cuisine:
Barbecue

Prices:
3 / 5

Phone:
212-388-0388

--------------------------------------------------

feel free to add or edit at will
