'cause the bastard in the bathroom yells at you when you refill your bottle from the tap? I will _NEVER_ attend space again. I did not give out a single cent as tip when I was there for Liebing (who rocked the house) since I think that $7 for water is rediculous, seeing that the rent for space must be much less than the rent for most any club in NYC, who are still charging $5.

I have to admit, on tuesday, for Mauro, Liebing, Vaeth and Carola, Space did a good job, I waited in line for ~5 mins... Which was all good, BUT their 'performance' on Friday night was too much for me to handle.

um reality check have u not read any of the bad experiences at Space this past WMC for trying to get there late. LOL!!

well heres a suggestion. next time if u do go... hook the guy up in the restroom at least with $1 or $2 dollars.
think about it would u rather pay $7 dollars for a water or talk to the guy in the bathroom & give him a buck or two to hook u up to fill up your bottle.
OR
go to the bartendar ask them for a cup of water & hold a $1 in your hand when u r doing that. i've done this plenty of time & ended up saving alot of money especially on water.

lastly if the water is so expensive.... y not do what i do. sneak in a bottle. They don't pat u down, so sneaking a nice bottle or two would come in handy for those long nights @ Space. just make sure u remove the label from the bottle. I do this all the time. i do it with liquor also. just make sure its clear liquor so it won't look obvious that its not water.

instead of letting Space get to you or letting them get the best of you.... beat them at there own game. thats all. Space has sry ass rule but u know what i've learned to beat them at there own game.

I did not goto Space once this WMC. I've been there numerous times in the past and although the music, CO2 blasts and sound system is great, everything else sucks. Either they overpack the main room like sardines or they make you wait for hours. They overcharge EVERYTHING. $13 for a tiny cup of mixed drink -- most of it was ice. Not enough places to sit for the tired. I am convinced the entire place is designed to squeeze every penny out of you.

I had no problems all 3 nights I went to space, except for one small one for Tiesto on Thursday due do the heat. I got there nice and early and walked right in. For Pvd/Ferry on Friday, and Deep Dish saturday, it was quite cool in there. Yeah drinks were expensive, I had a few waters and that was it, I dont drink much.

i have been to wmc multiple times and space multiple times during wmc and other times as well.

i have travelled all over the world to party at different festivals and clubs.

one of my buddies heard that friday night was oversold and early attendance was highly recommended. being the late-shower i am, i was EXTREMELY hesitant in getting there as early as we did at 930. thats THE earliest i've EVER been to a club. after sitting around for nearly 3 hours, i was hitting myself for showing up so early.

but now after reading all these experiences, im kinda glad i showed up when i did. nevertheless, rocked the Terrace all night/morning!

damn!!! get em manny!!! honestly, nice post, you make some good points, you can either cry and bitch about space, or you can beat em at their own game and enjoy it for what it is, a place with great musical talent and sound, but with subpar service(this is no secret and shouldnt come as a surprise), love it or leave it.....

NOT worth the money! i had a good time at space, and i'll def go back, but those passes were a joke.

My Space experience was good, Ill be honest though, the only thing that blew me away were the CO2 blasters (pun intended). Also it was great because I finally got to meet someone that Ive been wanting to meet for a while and it made my WMC experience better than it already was.

Mega night @ Space was insane!!!
Morillo was way to packed, we left after only being there for 20 min
Tiesto's set was one of the best ive ever heard, better than last year imo.
PVD sucked a big one, Ferry was awesome untill he played Punk, Sander was REDONKULOUS!!!

Hey Manny, you made some good points but did you have to be such a prick about it? Caryn (rubyriva) and many others had a terrible experience at Space couldn't you be a little sympathetic? On top of paying high prices, Caryn's whole complaint was not the prices nor the long wait but rather how the Space staff handled the entire situation with utter disrespect and incompetitence.

Space sucked ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After never having any problems there, I waited 2 hours to get into PVD only to discover there is another line inside to get into the main room, so I decided to pay off the door man at the back entrance. That worked out great and then we were fine and enjoying pvd, who rocked it in my opinion.

Then I decided to go upstairs to the terrace because my feet hurt and I wanted to sit down for a few minutes. When I came back down I discovered we were locked out from returing to the club. The bouncers were assholes and throwing people out right and left. The bouncer literally picked a guy up by his shirt and threw him outside all because I was scared and crying and he was talking to me. They made me sit on a stool for an hour before they let me back into the club where my boyfriend was wondering where the hell I was. I left my id and credit card at the bar in the club and I had no cash with me. I also had no cell phone. I couldn't have even gotten a cab home if I wanted to. They were unsympathetic and rude. I was scared to death and will never go anywhere in that club alone again. It was horrible! But I did like PVD, Ferry and Sander!!!!

The reason we all couldn't get in was because the cock sucker who owns that place oversold the pre-sale tickets and they were at capacity by 12. F-in jerks!!!! Go to hell Space!!!

just so u know i was also one of the ones waiting the 2.5- 3 hours outside Space. i was with KOKY & GROOVEERIC outside. So i to did have a bad experience thursday night. It really sucked cuz i missed about 3/4 of Tiesto's set. So i came earlier the next night & ended up having a Blast!!!!


i never once said in a wrongful way or posted anything in the sense of making fun of anybody who had a bad night. I simply posted some ideas on how to have a better night @ Space. some suggestions & try to keep a positive attitude about everything that happened. I then made a comment joking about "U GUYS ARE ROOKIES!!!! " , because of the drink situation. so i merely let everyone in on how I do it. I save myself a bit of money doing it that way. i'm trying to show u guys regardless of what Space does u can try doing things a little different next year, so that way whoever decides to come back or is debating to comeback can plan a little different & make WMC more enjoyable.

i never got mad @ her. i posted crazy smileys to show i was not gonna keep it in a negative aspect. Space does suck ass at times. so does it give her the right to snap at me & for me not to say anything?? I never once called her anything directly until she posted what she posted, it was all remarks & comments.

Someone else on this board posted TRYING to make it seem like I was new to the whole club scene & didn't know what i was talking about when it comes to Space. That person did not realize I've prob been to Space more times than they could ever imagine. New Or OLD.

if u read all of the posts from Wmc.. everyone or almost everyone who got to Space early had an awesome time & for those who got there late including myself on thursday, either never got in or got in 2.5 - 3 hours later.

I know Space sux when it comes to managing the door. everyone knows that. if u read the clubbers who posted they got to SPACE early had a good night. everyone knows Space get crazy for WMC.. even for a special event get crazy..
