| too bad i only saw malek outta of all the TA's, was wearing my tranceaddict.com shirt...aw well....lol....in all. |
jesteraver did you come with a group of friends ? i think i saw you in metro place d'armes ...
well well well
what a night
started off at the pre-meetup. i thought it was a great idea,TAs nice to meet all of you who actually showed up.
As for the event first thing was that the girls were driving me nuts. God save montreal and its women. drools all around. preach did a beautiful set very nice very upbeat, did a very good job of pumping up the crowd as well. eveyone was jimping jumping. TIESTO did his usual mistake. for some reason he thinks he is starting the night so he always starts slow for some reason. and he kept it going longer than usual but he picked it up towards the final hours and boy did he pick it up. very nice very nice. but the trance room became so uncomfortable to be in. all i could breathe in was sweat fumes which isn't exactly a very tantilizing feeling. Benny B was not impressive it was almost as if he brought a set he had prepared for a different venue..not appropriate at all. the house music had some very nice music going on as well..too many men holding mens hands for my taste so i didn't stay there too long. only for small periods of time.
but once again i have to give my props to the women who really made the night a treat for the eyes.
and props to anyone who showed up on a wheel chair, i thought that was the coolest thing ever...that's a true fan
except for that one chick who went into shock on the floor...ouch

How long did Tiesto spin for? I can't believe I missed this but Armin in T.O. just wore me right out

Cool party, great music till benni benassi.
Preach is a star. Tiesto is a star.
Me, Misho, Kane, and Deluca arrived at the party at around ~10:30 (if im not mistaking). We came with a bunch of other people, and everyone was slow (especially me, i forgot my ticket at misho's place lol) so sorry we didnt make it to the pre-meetup. Then at 11ish we met up with monika and mmx and his friends, and we stuck around the trance room. One thing though, our huge group didnt stick around together for too long. We had deluca with girl disapear to the bathroom for a few hours
, we had me and monika and ummm (monika help me out) the third guy? (forgot his name) running around like kids trying to achieve some tasks that i dont think we ever achieved lol, and kane was here and there. Preach, was nice to jam with ya to some benni
on the dancefloor for that hour or two. I went to the house room for the beginning of deep dish. They were playing some quality stuff. If i had more energy, im sure id stay longer but i was too drained.
oh ya, I remember a guy trying to give tiesto preach's relic rec compilation cd to sign. Malek saw it too. I was like wtf!@2!@
Malek was nice to meet you again, 2 shishtaouks sounds nice now
, thanks for the pictures.
Didnt really meet any other TA's except maybe one, but i wasn't sure who it was.
Overall, i was feeling too happy all night
!
I hate to say it, but this has been the most disappointing event I've been too. From start to finish, everything was a let down, not to mention I almost went through a bad experience. Someone was going around drugging people by dumping pills in their water bottles, and it happened to me. I was dancing with my girlfriend and I saw this black guy come up behind her and as soon as I was opening up my water bottle (behind my girlfriend's back) the guy just extends his arm and quickly leaves. I notice this and bring the water bottle up to a light, only to witness a pill floating around, dissolving at an lightning rate. I freaked out, then immediately started to dump the water on the ground and jet out of there with my girl. How long was this going on for? For the next hour or so, I was paranoid as hell, and that ruined my whole night.
I spent the majority of my time in the trance room.
Things that sucked at Bal en Blanc:
- Line up (1 hour+).
- Sound system; my ears are still ringing right now. This didn't happen at Celebration or Cream. Someone doesn't know how to calibrate their setup.
- Lights; not enough colours. Did anyone else notice that the whole fucking room was bright? The hell? I could read a god damn novel in there.
- Crowd; from date-rapists to the ginos trying to pick up girls and other low-lives out there ruining it for everyone else. Fuck that.
- Benny Benassi; what the HELL was he doing at Bal en Blanc? Club Dome (or whatever it's called now) should sign a ten year contract with this pathetic excuse for a DJ so he doesn't show up anywhere else.
Things that rocked at Bal en Blanc:
- Preach.
- Friends.

Since i can't sleep !!
Let's type a review !!
Got there pretty early ( duh i was with preach so i had to be there a 9:30 so ... i was one of the first person to actually enter the room )
and i thought that the set-up for the Trance room was good, untill i went to the house room where the set-up was just out of this world superbe, it seemed as if the room was smaller and much more intimate than the trance room, and it was WAY DARKER THE WHOLE NIGHT THROUGH !!
The trance room filled freakishly quickly, around 11 there was no more room to move and/or breathe in the trance room while the house room was half empty and frickin cold.
So around 11:00 i got in the vip ( thanks to THA MAN LOUIS !!) and got hamerred BAD !!! So during tiesto and Morales i litterally walked for 4h listening to both set and trying to come down from the alcohol ( i must have been pretty funny to look at ) so around 4-5 in the morning my party realy started, and i had fun untill noon with some great friends
Now
Let's talk about the dj's
Trance Room
Preach: well ... it was obvious that he was going to kill it like he does every single little time he plays somewhere. There's nothing mor to say than that ! By far the Best set of the night
Tiesto: ........................................ i hate him, i hate trance ... but i think he did and ok job, kept the crowd jumping and played a little more Tech-trancy that i thought he would
Benny Benassi: I'm gonna get flammed but I actually thought that He did he wonderful job. Sure his mixing was horendous but his tracklisting was soooooooooooo great. Can't believe he played poney part, and Smack my bitch up most likely the song of the night for me. the way he played with the effect just kept the crowd rocking for the 3 hours that he played. I said to many people before the party that he might steal the show from Tiesto and he did ... for me at least and for a lot of people i know too !
Marco G: I thought that he'd go much much much much much more funkier than he did ( since he had told me that he'd do a funky tech-house set and i couldn't wait for him to some on ) but he played HAAAARDDDDDD and don't take it in a wrong way he gave every single little person in the room a Lesson in techno, he also abused his productions, preach's productions and the Machine's production ... lol
House room
Bruno Brown: Donnu couldn't get out of the trance room while preach was mixing
Jester : Same thing as above
David Morales : Did his usuall stuff, Disco-tribal-vocal-new-york influenced kinda house, if you like it he did a good job ( i like it so ... ) as for his mixing again he did his usual stuff nothing great, but nothing bad either. Btw the Live "how would you feel" act was pretty neat had goosebumps all over me
Peter Rauhofer : Can't believe people like him. The MOST BORING MUSIC EVER HEARD OMG, he could actually play the same song over and over again for 3hours and it wouldn't change a thing, it would still the most cheesiest tribal beats .... AND SOOOOOOOOOOO SLOWWWWW i hate him.
Deep dish: As usuall they where great, but I'm wondering if we'll ever get someone else to close a party in Montreal other than deep dish. It wouldn't even surprise me to see them booked at swirl !!
Now let's talk about the sound ... IT WAS HORENDOUS IN THE TRANCE ROOM, not well calibrated, tooooo many highs, my ears are gonna ring fro years !!!! But the sound in the house room was way better !! Also the vip was pretty bad, how many vip have they sold ?? 12 000 ??? seemed like everybody had a vip bracelet. At one point it took me 15 minutes just to get IN the vip, i mean just to pass the security guys. Unbelievable, and, as i've said last year they could really put some speakers in the Vip, 'cause for 25 $ we want to hear what's happening, not just the bass !!

Sup gurl!! Was surprised to see you there... Awsome night wouldn't you agree.. Trop hot!
Esti Preach!! T'as vraiment montre a Tiesto ton talent!! EXCELLENT mec. Was expecting more of Tiesto but I think everyone did... lol of course Mr. #1 DJ has pressure now a days!! Deep dish still know how to bring in those House tunes!! Nice work!!
And what about that other DJ... Benni... something LOL no comments!!
Wasn't there for Marco-G but I'm sure he ended with quality performance!!
Success!!
Lataz Peeps
See ya around Layloula... bisou
Mmmmm where to begin !!
Ok 1st the meet up, i didn't get the chance to meet all the TA's since i was a BIT late but it was nice meeting Fast, Epicurus (who mixed up sensation white with the black one instead), Milanster and Malek in the vip in the bal (thx alot for the pic btw)
Got there at 12:45 (being always on time) missed most of preach's set but have to agree that the last hour was mind blowing

don't ask me why i did it but i felt so relaxed by doing so ... didn't know anyone would notice but i guess am wrong
and when he played Electrovoya - Effervesce what a sick track
... never heard Benny B live but from the meet up Epicurus said that he was not bad and worth to check out ... what a big mistake
... so transfered to the house room till the end

Might check out that place that you mentioned lemeir on St. Denis ![]() |

Back at work finally after a fun Montreal weekend!
Enjoyed BeB for sure! It was my first one and definitely was an awesome party! I came at about 12, waited in line for about 40, wasnt nearly as long as waiting during Cream... Definitely enjoyed how a ton of people went all out on the outfits... and didn't enjoy how some people just came as if to a regular club.. with that same club attitude... it just kinda wasnt that type of vibe and those people looked out of place for sure! They were also annoying
Anyway, setup of the room was mind-blowing! I thought the sound was nuts.. although a bit too much on the highs and lows (ears STILL ringing a bit)... but it was better than the mistimed lows/hi's at cream... Preach definitely rocked the place... all my girlies that I came with (5 of them) were all like tiesto is goood (since it was like 1:40 or so) and I was like this isn't tiesto.. its this really awesome local montreal guy who kicks ass
His vibe in the booth, the jumping around, was definitely something! and the music was awesome! I realllly wanted to get a mix-cd that some ppl got their hands on... but couldn't find where to get one! Perhaps Preach could hook me up with one?? I'd be wicked thankful!! Either way, I think Preach at a club like Avalon Boston would reallyyyyy rock the place!!
Don't really remember too many of the Preach tracks but the one that hit home the best:
Filterheadz - Yimanya
Tiesto came on, started slow like he likes to, and then got into it bigtime! Some tracks:
Ava Mea - In The End
Skin - Faithfulness (Tiesto Remix)
Electrovoya Effervesce
Remy & Roland Klinkenberg - Til Ya Drop
Firewall - Sincere (Smith & Pledger Mix) <= song of the night for me!!!!!
Blank & Jones Feat. Bobo Perfect Silence (E-Craig 212 Club Mix)
Luminary - My World (Andy Moor Mix)
Tisto feat. BT Love Comes Again
Tisto Traffic (DJ Montana 12" Edit)
Tiesto - Just Be (Original Mix)
Sander Van Doorn - Punk'd (SVD Remix)
Armin vs. M.I.K.E. - Pound (not 100% sure)
Portishead - Roads (Sultan & Tonedepth Remix) (not 100% sure)
Brian Cross - 4U (not 100% sure.. but it was a GREAT track!!)
Encore:
Push - Universal Nation (Original Mix)
Tiesto - Adagio For Strings
I really enjoyed his set and thought he made an effort! Which he hasn't been doing for smaller shows like I've seen him at in Boston... He was into it, his mixing was decent (although he's still no Armin
) and I really thought he did a good job!
I managed to fight my way through to get an autograph tho.. which was funny.. since when he was at Avalon, with only 2,000 ppl or so, I couldnt get him to sign it for me.. but this time, with a HUGE concert like BeB, I was able to get my ticket signed... which was cool!
Benny B was ehhhh... I mean.. he was nice in the beginning.. and I was right in the front.. he was ok in the beginning.. esp. the first song
(Love is gonna save us).... However, didn't really enjoy some of the electro-tech stuff he played.. and def. didnt enjoy the drop it like it's hot remix... totally the wrong scene!
I gave him a chance, got my ticket signed by him also... and went on my way.. chilled around abit more.. and then left at about 7:15 or so... was way too tired to even check the house room, although I wish I had...
Overall a great night!
Music: A- (A second headliner like Armin would have kept me in the trance room till 10 am for all i cared
but benny just didnt do the trick)
Girls: A+++++ (WOW.. need I say more??
)
Vibe: B (Other than everyone practically being way drugged out, it was wicked friendly and I thought it was on the good side! Cream was definitely sketchier than this... so I thought the vibe was good other than the random kids out of place!)
Overall experience: Definitely worthwhile! GOt to meet Malek (I was the redhead who came up to you and said I knew you from tranceaddict! AlthougH I'm sure plenty of people did the same thing as me, maybe I'll be remembered! Once the pics are up, I will show you who I was if you didn't)... Didn't really run into any other TA's as I couldnt make the meetup and couldnt distinguish them from others!
Great night! Great city! Great times
I'll be making a STRONG effort to be at BeB in 2006
Hopefully next time, will meet more of y'all!!!
I'm out and back to workinnn!
Yuriy
... how about speechless ?
it was fken gr8
i don't remember much but am workin on that should happen in the coming days
all i do remember though was fken AAA+++ it was wild, tiesto threw filterheadz - yimanya(PS) in the beginning (i think 2nd or 3rd track) had insane responsiveness
the music was relatively sweet allround, though i was prolly too fked up most of the time loool
i believe the benny benassi set was well spent engaging in conversation. ears are still a mess, feels like a got a freakin propeller engine running in them.
had a shitty time without glasses :S my eyes looked like fken shiny glass balls huge black spot rimmed in sky blue, no but seriously if they freaked me out, i can only wonder. i told you they were a curse!! (now who did i say this to? - damn memory!)
Salutes
Nick: your darkness
Blinckme: kess ekhta man? shefna ba3ed shi? Dude i can't stop laughin at shit i done :P
As for the rest of u guys that i didn't see for apparent reasons, it was a cool party
i had a fken blast

hope u enjoyed it too... overwhelming evidence as read through the thread
PS: this prooves my "shape" in beb... obviously my timing is totally messed up. Guess it was preach then that played it. Preach U Da MAN
wish i got there earlier i got to dance the last hour

Great Night!
I really like my night but I was so tired to pass all the night long on my feet.
Preach was amazing!! he prouved to people that's technical skills were
not far from the perfection. The way he prepared the crowd for the night. He made my night....
Tiesto was good too. He played some great classic!
He surprised me when he played: Sander Van Doorn - Punk'd (SVD Rmx)
Too tired to stay for Deep Dish, I left at 8 O'clock.
Malek, hope to see your pics soon
