Meganite Party on Tuesday...stellar...But Leibling destroyed many already tired party people....Marco Carola did a excellent set afterwards, but a lot of folks had already left....Terrace, well, that was just the terrace...always a good time
Steve Lawler on Wed....mellower than I thought he would be...Clive Henry played a stellar warm-up set..The crowd was just so psyched for Steve to rip it up, he really didn't start bringing the pain until after 2:30 a good night but not a great one..I went to grab a friend for Morillo around 5am but couldn't get her out of bed...LOL
Thursday...During the day, hung out in SoBe, just walking into parties in hotel lobbys and pools...great music! The Sullivan Room Party was kickin at Teasers! Bumped into a LOT of people I knew from around and met a ton more! Headed back to the hotel to get ready for the Detroit Techno Party....went to see Jeff Mills...got there early, talked to my boy about reentry and went to downton SoBe...Left my friggin cell phone in the Cab...D'OH!...Met up with a couple of friends that were drunk and emotional...waited in line for 30 minutes to get into the OM Records party and didn't move a inch...Ate Pizza Rustica and fucked off back to the Detroit Party...
Friday...layed by the pool, rested...went to the TA dinner, then off to Nikki Beach for the Radio One party....outside was more social as they had the sound turned off except for the monitors for the DJ's, but inside was slammin! Hung there for a few hours, mingling and snapping pictures...Headed off to BED for James Holden....only $12, you can't beat it! Saw Carl Cox hanging around having dinner, listened to some great choons....Fucked off there around 1am, went to spin as I thought that Zableia was there and my friends as well, paid $20 to get in to find that there were 30 people total there and it wasn't Zabelia....D'OH!!!....walked right out and went to the Steve Porter Party....I wasn't all too impressed with some of the openers, but once Steve came on, he ripped it up....Conemplated going to a after hours around 5:30...decided on Pizza Rustica and back to the hotel instead...
Saturday...Ultra Fest...Didn't really hang out much at the main arena, but did see Infusion....Lawler TORE IT UP!!! He dropped the set that I thought he was going to on Wed....Carl Cox had the crowd slammin as well...Danny Howells also threw down a great techno set, but after Cox, it was a hard slot to fill...Tenaglia had some minor technical probs initially, but he really got into it after a couple of tracks...crowd everywhere (Breaks, DNB, Main Arena, Techno, DDTT tents) was totally having a great time...Left around 11pm...wanted to beat the line for the Yoshitoshi party at Space....timing was perfect, I went back to the hotel, got showered and headed off to Space...No line to get in...wOOt! As far as the best overall party...the Yoshitoshi party was IT...Max on the terrace dropped a great set, Nick Faniculli blew everyone away as well! Berouz(spelling?) opened up for Ali, he got the crowd movin, but he really outdid himself when he went on the Terrace...Ali started out mellow, some good tracks, but he really didn't drop the hammer until a good hour into his set...But once he did, Sharam took over and really took things to another level...
At 8am-ish, I knew I had to check out of my hotel...got back and grabbed a quick hour nap, to be awakened by Avikonen trying to get me up with coffee!...
Hung back around South Beach for the afternoon...Picked up Cuzo (after a minor luggage SNAFU) and headed back...
36 hours later (took 24ish to get to Detroit, plus me driving Cuzo back to Toronto and back to Detroit) I am back home...

Next year, I am going - even after seeing the coma-like state my roommate is in right now, I am going next year. I'll take hobo lessons and hop a freight train - bring my little stick with a hankercheif tied to it and call me Daisy Dukes.

Great review, Darren. Sounds like you had a successful WMC, and relatively snafu free (in comparison to other's experiences).
Yea, wtf happened to Aaron? His cellphone is still off. RJ, I think your guess of what happened to him may have been correct. I think he may have stayed in Miami for a bit longer because of this.

If you guys are all talking about Diginut...
He is chillin down in Miami for a few more days....he did not bring a computer down and his cell phone doesn't work down there..
He was pretty bummed about his cell phone...but I wish I could have just chilled a bit down in the sun and sand for a few more days...

Tuesday night - I made it out to "spin" for opening night.. fantastic sound system in the place.. I'd say better than BOA.
Strolled in as INFUSION had the place going fucking MADDDDD! These guys are the best live act EVER. It was my second time checking them out. Simply ubelievable.
After Infusion the mighty Hernnan Cattaneo completely ripped the place into pieces... some of the dirtiest dark beats I've ever heard. I wanted to hit someone. My only complaint was that he shows no emotion at all.. no crowd interaction. He smiled once. But its OK.. because this guy can do whatever he wants. I had an eargasm when he dropped "Matthew Dekay - BAD" .. that was the only track I could ID. 
Left Spin around 3am and headed down the street to check out Johan Gielen.. I walk in olnly to find CUZO and ANDREA tearing the dance floor apart.. lol I got super excited. Johan jammed till 5:15ish.

Wednesday Night - Made it out to spin once again for ARMADA night.. no way was I going to miss this one.. Showed up early.. around 10:30.. REMY was totally tearing shit up.. this guy is a rising star.. he had be busting grooves for his whole set. He was the highlight of my night. Armin ... well what can I say? Armin is a king.. Its ALWAYS a treat seeing him live. I was hoping to hear him drop tracks I've never heard, but I was still happy. Markus was last to come on. I only hung around for an hour and a half of his set.. not impressed at all.. Never could get into him. But to each his own. I know others really enjoyed it.

Thursday Night (Tiesto) - First night checking out SPACE night club.. no problem getting in at all. I've heard complaints from many people that they got shafted even tho they had a "space pass" but our crew got in fine. Edgar V was great. Qualtity Tunage. This was my sober night.. absolutely no partying at all. It was my first time seeing Tiesto. I had a good time.. but this guy is not number 1.
He dropped a 5 hour set.. I could barely stand after it was done. SPACE had nowhere to sit in the main room which sucked. It was soooo packed too. Like the GUV.. but atleast space had a wicked A/C system.. it was cooooold. To what I can remember, Tiesto finished around 6 I think.. maybe a little earlier.. then DJ Montana came on. I've never heard of him before but he rocked. Big thumbs up. Around 7am we headed to the Terrace.. (on the roof of space) The terrace was like an exotic rain forest/jungle.. never seen anything like it before. Roger Sanchez was banging super duper good house. Even tho I was half dead I couldnt help but groove. Fuck I'm getting tired of typing.

Friday Night - Again, we got lost in space. This was one of the best nights I had in Miami.. everyone else thought PVD sucked, but I really enjoyed it.. Im not a PVD fan, but he had me bustin out. That was UNTILL Sander motherfuckin K decided to rock the terrace.. so, as soon as Sander came on PVD was out of my life. He was the highlight of WMC. Started playing around 5am and DIDNT FINISH UNTILL 12:15pm !!!
And on top of the FERRY was spinning in the main room. ALSO an extended set. What a lineup. Needless to say I thought I was going to need a wheel chair for the rest of the weekend. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention SPACE has a 24 hour liquor liscence. How crazy is that!

Saturday - ULTRA music fest.. WOW WOW WOW WOW... was not expecting this at all.. super good time. LOTSA weirdos, but you get used to it.
Got in around 6pm.. didnt really have any plans to see certain DJs, just roamed around and caught whatever. Ended up going PERFECTLY.. I saw Peter Tong for 30 minutes, which was spectacular, and then.. SANDER comes on for a 1.5 hour set... and AGAIN blew the crowd away. I really think he may be my #1. 
The main stage of ULTRA was the most massive thing I've ever seen before.. as I was walking up this hill, all I could see was a sea of fists pounding in unity together under the spell of JUNKIE XL.. I got goosebumps all over.
Another first timer for me.. absolutely loved his set. Then came TIESTO and and PVD.. Tiesto impressed me more at ULTRA than at SPACE.. PVD was good too. Im getting tired now.

Sunday - American Airlines Afterparty.. I was too cracked out, but still managed to have a blast.. Sasha and Digweed were phenomenal. The only this that sucked was if you werent on the floor, the sound system sounded like shit. Amazing light show, and great tunes tho. good crowd too. Some dude got carried out on a stretcher (unresponsive).. reminded of that old school drug commercail about E.. lol the one where the girl just drops dancing and it says "ecstasy, wheres the love?" hehe Its all about moderation.. dude learned the hard way I guess.

Well thats that folks, I left out so much stuff but Im way too tired right now. (and sick as a dog) I'll post some pictures tommorow.
WMC was a 9/10 for me.
Miami was good, but its so dirty. The bums also harrass you. Feel free to ask questions. Nite.
review coming very soon. I am still exhausted. But trust me, whoever did not go this year or has never been, SHOULD ..i repeat SHOULD experience it! Way too many stories to tell!!! hehehehehe.....

tuesday - johan gielen, intimate little venue and really sick beats we tore up the dancefloor until they kicked us out.
wednesday - at some bar on the strip, dave dresden gave us a free tease for an hour...... wow......i couldnt wait to hear the full set on thursday.......later on that night remy/armin/markus....REALLY impressed with club spin, everyone else bitched about it being too loud but i thought it was one of the best sound systems ever......remy and armin rocked it out, i loved every minute of it......markus was good too but he really needs to stop sucking off armin.
Thursday - club rumi w/ Gabriel and Dresden 
ok wow......this party was increadible.....from the second we walked in until the second we left around 6-7 hours later this duo tore up this upscale/intimate venue. we were dancing on the tables/benches wherever....the girl from motorcycle jumped up on one of the tables and did a live show, it was pretty surreal, the miami bitches were stuck up in this place so i just gave em the pett treatment by stealing one of their $250 bottles of booze. And oh yea.......for sure the set of the week.
Friday - was my night off/prep for ultra, ended up crunked up in the hotel room thou......oops.
Saturday - ultra...... wicked party, wicked sets, but wow was it slightly overwhelming......getting everyone together and in the front door was more of a task then i could ever imagine, the strict rules ect were a little outa hand. but once we found our place to dance it was on..... a little tough getting to the bathroom and such, but whateva, im not one to complain usually.........Walked around the venue when we first got there, the other stages besides the main 2 were pretty weak, so i had no problem hanging out at the main stage all day, Infected mushroom sounded better then usual, but nothing worth writing further about. I enjoyed Infusions set but they need to work on the attitude.....quote "Were doing this live! were not up here playing records, were REAL musicians".....fuck off u losers(nice set thou) Ferry came on right after and got the crowd response infusion didnt get, everyone went nuts, looking around the amplitheatre seeing everyone was awesome.....even digi was partying it up to some ferry style trance! Oakenfold was good too, it was cool hearing ppk - resurection and some other nice classics......tiesto.....not the best ive heard outa him but still a 7.5/10 set....but his arrogance is getting outa control.......junkie xl was probley the most fun......his dance moves are the best (air guitar and flying jump kicks) ......PVD came on and showed why he closes ultra every year now....i called this to be the set of the night and pvd delivered, he was even dancing around...yup real crowd interaction!........the lazers sucked thou.....only green and the were teh ghetto ones.....booooooo ultra on your light show, nice sound and videos screens to make up for it though. Getting back to the hotel was quite the mission, and when we finally got a cab we got the tourist treatment

I never seen so many good looking people in one place before thou......wow.......Nikki beach on sunday night they wanted 35 bucks for carl cox, i jumped the fence instead and i found out carl cox played hours earlier booooo....but the dj on the decks did a pretty damn good job technoing me up wilst chatting up some ladies.......alright gonna go sleep for 3 days....laters.
