The power of this tune can be found on the melodies.Fantastic use of high and low notes.Although a different synth would be better IMO.But still it's great.Looking forward to it

Well it's ok but Imagination is much better IMO

was Imagination even produced? All i've heard of it is the acoustic that was on Bloom.

Posted by iammesol on Apr-13-2005 00:55:

if it has they haven't been spinning it recently

Posted by sot on Apr-13-2005 01:08:

way too trancey imho. not feelin it

Posted by Atari Addict on Apr-13-2005 04:26:

I didn't really dig the track at first but once i gave it another listen i started to get into it. It has that overdone "I've just been fucked, i'm so hot and horny" type female vocal...but i think it works well in this track. That base guitar breakdown melody in the middle is wicked, the lyrics aren't bad, it's just got a nice groove. This could also end up having some decent remix value

armin's playing a very early demo version of this song which he prefers.

his re-edit will appear on the release and we are speaking with several interesting prospects for remixes currently.

as it stands this will come out on our organized nature sub label called "double yellow"

it will also come out on armada for holland and belgium.

please don't let your tracks be raped by Armada Dave I understand them playing them, as that gets you spotted, and more money. However, for the love of God, DO NOT LET MARKUS & FRIENDS EDIT ONE THING!

I've heard the G+D remix and I must admit this version is a lot better than the version Armin is spinning atm.

Posted by Bertn on Apr-13-2005 15:59:

well... I'm curious about this g&d remix, since the original sounds pretty good!

G&D need to remix Audioslave's new song "Be Yourself"....it's right up their alley.

It took hearing that to make you realize that?

Posted by Snagglepulse on Apr-13-2005 19:16:

So, the "Around You" I've been listening to off of ASOT is really a demo version?

Always great to see producers posting here,it's really nice.Keep up the good work dave .Also imagine a Rock remix of this tune based on the quitar melody in the breakdown. Now that's a nice idea for any remixer out there

Posted by MennoB on Apr-14-2005 11:36:

So, wich version wil be released? The one Gabriel & Dresden played at Innercity or the track Armin played..?

Posted by RebeL9 on Apr-14-2005 11:44:

I thought Gabriel & Dreadful would never release something good again but I was wrong!
Around You is 10 times better than ATRC.
Especially the part after the break. Very nice.

anyone who knows me knows how much i like well written songs... and this is most certainly one. wow... dave passed me this at wmc and i cant get enough of it... the production is tight, although a little on their trancey side for me as a dj (but maybe not!), but the song just shines thru. jes sounds better than ever, and the guys have done a true producers job in presenting her in the best possible light.

i can't wait to hear what the remixers do...

peace
