Beer is the nectar of the gods.

But Hieneken sucks. It tastes like skunk-beer unless it's fresh and from europe. Drink Stella instead.

Corona is solid, however it doesn't hold it's head very well, and I'm not too fond of the aftertaste, so drink marca bavaria instead. Carib tastes like vinegar.

Colt 45 and all the malt liquors....Oh my, I would never touch those, they must leave you with wicked hangovers to charge you $2 a 40.

Steamwhistle...nah, you want something domestic and good, grab an MGD.

Personally, I've been feeling the wheat beers in recent years, I started on Hoegaarden, simply cuz I love the oversized mug I stole from a bar, but found a better one, 'blanche de chamblis' [or I something along those lines] brewed out of montreal.

But the absolute best beer I've ever had is a cherry beer called bellevue kreik...Aged for 3 years in oak, has a deep brownish/pink hue, has a smooth pleasant taste with a hint of cherry and a sweet aftertaste....A 20L cylinder keg is $250....But it's worth every penny....God I love that beer.

EDIT
Can you tell I'm an alcoholic yet?

Sounds AWESOME and i wanna try it, save for that cherry flavour part... i dislike cherrys quite strongly!

Acutally, if I had to go for a favourite draft beer, im leaning towards Rickards Red... I REALLY love that beer... but i save it for when im out drinking... i never buy it in bottles. it makes it more special!

I'm no cherry fan either, but this beer is something special. the beer as far as I know isn't in canada yet. Labatt bought the rights to distribute it here, but is unavailable unless by special request at a beer store I think. I was fortunate enough to do my smartserve at a the regional promotional place for labatt's last year...And was albne to drink every beer they have.

Newcastle brown ale....I had it once...It tasted like sewer water. It's got too strong an 'earthy' taste to it, if I want that taste, I like it slightly milder and that beer would have to be ireland's 'harp' lager.

Are you serious? You'd choose an american brew over a Toronto brew?

Anyone tried Pawtucket Patriot

Petter Griffin says its pretty good... lookin' for comfirmage!

I say we name this thread our very own version of Petoria (our own self proclaimed nation)... and all us beer fanatics will be the rulers!

BTW, nothing is better than when ur getting hammered at home w/ the crew then popping on the FAMILY GUY DVD disc... Petter Griffin goes so well wiht drinking... you just have so much more respect for the man when ur drunk (as if that would even be possible!)

P.S. Family Guy, Vol. 1 (Seasons 1 & 2) [4 Discs] is on for ONLY $29.99 at Amazon.ca (thats a bloody savings of $39.99 ppl! My brother already owns all of these, but im tempted to buy these anways! Thats just toooooooo cheap to own the originals for yourself!!)

Taste over nationality my friend....But there are good canadian beers out there, but for a beer that's gonna be priced the same as a steamwhistle, I'd chose an MGD.

Heresy!

I'm not that big of a drinker, being asian and all we don't have the necessaryt enzymes to break down 10+ beers or so but recently my buddies and I have grown a liking to Bohemian. It's actually not that bad of a beer, kinda tastes like Canadaian and a hell of alot cheaper too. I case of 24 goes for 27 now but when it first came out it was 21 bucks!!! and tastes so much better than the other cheap $1 beer like Lucky Lager or Carlsberg.

Def agree with MGD over steamwhistle. I stick to Keiths or MGD at bars usually, they just go down so easily :P

Sidenote: Beer waterfalls are awesome!

I've done 4 glasses in the past, but you can only drink them to about 1/3 full, then it gets messy :|
