Usually when Rank 1 plays it is a live PA act and not DJing.

no new info or specs on the mixer yet? I keep checking the website for new stuff on the nuo4 but nothing yet.

More like playing one Rank 1 song after another. Basically I heard that 1/2 of Rank 1 (I forget who) likes just being in the studio producing compared to live DJing and that is why Rank 1 does not perform very often. The other half Rank 1 likes to DJ so when he spins he just uses his name.

any new infos on the mixer?

Posted by Soundwerks on Jun-17-2005 14:37:

pretty much all the info is in this thread.

If youre looking for pricing, its around $750 USD. And it will be available by the end of the month.

I was wondering what application the midi controller would have. Im guessing this would be an ideal mixer for live acts with keyboards and instruments etc. Correct me if I am incorrect

Posted by Soundwerks on Jun-17-2005 21:28:

yes, its mainly used for live perfomances.....DJ's that incorporate MIDI devices and/or software in their sets. Most popular uses would be to use Ableton LIVE, Traktor, Final Scratch etc..... or MIDI controlled effects, MIDI controlled lighting....all kinds of fun stuff!

Posted by Allen&Bream on Jun-18-2005 02:54:

I might buy it just for traktor

Posted by Soundwerks on Jun-18-2005 05:20:

well, thats what its made for!

If you're in NYC, you should be able to catch it at Turntable Lab and Top DJ Gear (Satellite Records) in a few weeks.

Posted by Allen&Bream on Jun-19-2005 03:28:

I'm guessing it'll be at NAMM in atlantic city?

You could pull off some hot sets in traktor if you were able to monitor. Everything is sooo smooth and it has the filters like the Xone

Posted by Soundwerks on Jun-19-2005 06:49:

Thats the DJ TIMES international DJ EXPO, not NAMM at Atlantic City, btw....but no, ECLER will not be exhibiting at that show. ECLER will be at the NAMM in California this winter, though.

But the NUO4 should hit the shelves soon...so check with your favorite store.
