So the marlins got of to a dominating start winning 9-0, just a beautiful game Delgado kicked ass and even encarnacion, and Smoltz sucksss as a starter.Wheres that braves fan that is happy with just his team winning divisions

seeing a little of the Mariners -Twins Santana got off to a really bad start giving up 4 runs in the 1st inning, but hasnt allowed anything since

your marlins look real good. that lineup is loaded. I'll be seeing them at shea next saturday and sunday (since it's $2 opening weekend )

haha damn man Im glad you guys got Looper the Pooper from us, never liked him even when we won the title.
A friend of mine is a die hard Mets fan so I dont really hate the Mets like everyone else here. Not a fan of the mets pitching but you guys got a good batting lineup, if Cliff Floyd can stay healthy you guys will be contending

A big FU goes out to the Red Sox fan who wore a gay ass fake Ortiz jersey today in Main Box 303 row B. What a asshole as a matter of fact all red sox fans are assholes.

JETER BABY! So-so game today but great ending hopefully los Yankees or whatever can pull off the sweep go get your rings with the thought that it will be your last for another 100 years or whatever. PUTAS!!

P.S. Im not spainsh, the bronx is part of South America so I picked up some words.

yeah...Looper sucks...I had him on my fantasy team in 2003...he drove me crazy

Mets are my suprise team of the year. Im a Yankee fan too!!

Mets are stacked with offense and their starters I think are gonna be really good. Especially Ishii (will move Glavine to third!). Minaya just needs to get a reliver than they will be dangerous! I say steal all of the tigers 3some of Farnsworth, Percival and Urbina when they fall out of contention!

I don't know why

I think they were negotiating the extension before the 2004 season started, but they could not agree on a number, so they let him go

Lowe had a respectable performance against the giants today...7 innings, 3 earned runs...too bad schmidt outdueled him

Posted by Acid Circus on Apr-06-2005 10:20:

Comfortable start for the Cards, so much for Carpenter being a bottler, he dominated the Astros offence. Edmonds does it again!

hahaha ... i have that guy .. he's been a disappointment, also was last year .. it looks like the mets cannot find their future closer after the great john franco .. franco was awesome ..

who wants looper the pooper ???

pedro had an excellent outing for the mets the other day... 12Ks... to bad the bullpen (read: looper the pooper) blew it for him

and a-rod *coughs coughs* the ball, costing the yankees the game .. i know the yankees fans should blame rivera for getting shelled for the second game in a row, but that was a perfect double play ball to a-rod .. he should have converted that easily .. ..

but i feel for him .. it doesn't matter .. i still think the yankees would be better if a-rod played ss, and jeter played 3b .. a-rod in my opinion is the best modern day shortstop in baseball ever .. no question about it .. and he represents the good for baseball, because his name didn't pop up in the steroids scandal

i don't know what it is about that guy but i just can't root for him,i will admit that his batting for a middle infielder was sick.Best shortstop in modern day era...i don't know about that.I still hold Ozzie smith in very high regard...man was a witch with the glove.

I agree, A-Fraud should have had it. But Mo put them in that difficult situation by getting knocked all over the place and NOT THROWING STRIKES. That was killing me today.

I've never been a big Pay Rod fan. I respect his offensive game but he just doesn't have the look of a winner to me (or a leader for that fact). Take into what he's being paid, he should be all that and more. I guess I have huge expectations for him and he hasn't met them yet. I always hated him too when he was a Mariner so hard to change my feelings without doing something of substance.

agree with ozzie smith .. he was awesome with the glove .. but we can also say the same for omar vizquel (now with sf) .. was awesome at cleveland, especially at this peak .. was awesome with the glove, and the throw to first was magnificant .. i have seen him turn many many dp's ..

That shortstop the dodgers currently have impresses me...shame they broke up that great infield when they have all these groundball pitchers now

funny thing about him...
when he first came back to safeco field after signing that 250 mil contract with the rangers, some fans were holding fishing rods with dollar bills attached at the end

If we're talking defensive SS's, you seem to be forgetting Omar Vizquel.

way to go brad wilkerson from the washington nationals for hitting the cycle the other night against the philadelphia phillies ...

[fantasy bb rant]
damn him .. f*!k him for hitting that cycle .. had him on the damn bench that night, because he didn't produce the quality numbers like my other outfielders i have (not my ta team .. my other yahoo team .. hahhahaa) .. damn him and his f'n cycle .. oh well, i hope i get more cycle hitting days in the future ...
[/fantasy bb rant]

Ever since that slap last year in the ALCS, I've hated AROD..... but before that and still to this day, I believe he is and will be the best all-around baseball player of all-time... so yeah, I think he's the best player of all-time, better than the Babe when it's all said and done... he just has a sucky attitude... then again I thought Ken Griffey Jr. was going to be the best player of all-time, which he would have been if he never left Seattle...

My sleeper this year are the Astros. Granted, they went to game 7 of the NLCS but nobody is giving them respect now. I think they're going to give the Cardinals and Cubs fits all year.

Go Red Sox..

Posted by Irishaddict on Apr-08-2005 03:34:

I'm from near Toronto and going to the Jays season opener tomorrow. And that's only because they're playing the Bo Sox... GO BOSTON!!

The Astros are old and tired looking, they'll blow it mid season when all those games catch up on them.

i've been to RFK stadium plenty of times but never for a Baseball game. If you ever get around, hit me up if you want to go see a Nats game. When i get back, i'm definitely going to get some tickets for a couple summer games.

I wonder if RFK will have a student's night like at Camden Yards (for the Orioles) $5 admission on Friday night home games. Can't beat that!
