I think this will finally be it for the Liberals.

If not in seriously considering moving because if we re-elect these clowns we deserve our fate.

Posted by rabbitjoker on Apr-05-2005 03:49:

FYI: We're talking more money than the Iran-Contra affair http://www.answers.com/iran%20contra.

Every Canadian should be deeply concerned that this could EVER happen and that there are no checks and balances.

Posted by Jayx1 on Apr-05-2005 03:53:

im concerned but im even more concerned that its now also under a facist style gag order as well.

They steal then use their own powers to cover it up from the media. They are even talking about a snap election before the publication ban is lifted and canadians find out what really happened so that the liberals can get 4 more years after it breaks.

These guys are finally showing how slimey they are. Ive seen through it all these years but finally maybe the general public will see it. And finally you guys will see why i rant so much.

This is going to be very interesting.

I heard that this server is actually in the US, hence it would not go under canadian laws.

Anyhow, dont you guys have a fucking constitution protecting free speech rights!?

Nope...just ask Ernst Zundel and any Canadian media outlet... And by extension, everyone who publicly communicates via websites or internet. (that means us).

St Andrew: you shouldnt be commenting at all about our politics. its actually against the law for foreigners to try and influence national politics (yet another 3rd worldish dictatorship law that most canadians dont know about)

Evil1

Now that the Lieberal Party has standing at the Inquiry to "defend" itself, guess who pays for the party's legal bills?

That's right...

....the Canadian taxpayer!!!

I'm really curious to see what happens when this finally ends. especially on how Canadians will respond.

Im a resident of Canada tho so i can comment of politics here (see what shadowolf posted)

but anyhow, that law is fucking insane, why wouldnt anyone be able to affect your politics?! Wouldnt technically a political person residing in another country, such as Mr. Bush, be charged to when he say that he think candians should join the missile defence thing or something else?

I think technically the law only applies during election campaigns to prevent foreigners from trying to influence election outcomes.

That being said, it's rediculous to think that it would actually be enforced. What... are we going to arrest Bush the next time his plane touches down in Ottawa? Imagine the invasion force then!

The conservatives have now moved more to the centre since their recent convention. It's time to dump the current government because they have proved that they obviously cant be trusted.

It is our duty as Canadians to elect an alternative.

Posted by dc ajaxs on Apr-05-2005 16:52:

+1 but would another group do better????

Posted by Jayx1 on Apr-05-2005 16:55:

well it cant get much worse. And if we re-elect these crooks we will send the message that they, and future governments can get away with stealing since Canadians dont seem to care and will re-elect them even if they get caught.

very true, i will remember that one, when we vote in a couple of months

Posted by Jayx1 on Apr-05-2005 17:02:

classical conditioning....

lets show these guys that stealing has consequences.

Posted by arek on Apr-05-2005 18:38:

money, greed, power, corruption.
what else is new.

ohhhh a publication ban.

fuck this judge.

Posted by DJ_Elyot on Apr-06-2005 03:20:

I don't like the conservatives much... Stephen Harper seems very right-wing, very close to big business, and in favour of a lot of harsh social changes. I know they're trying to make their party appeal to more centrist Canadian views, but I still don't think they'll do well as a national government.

Personally, I like the NDP as a way of tempering the liberals. I think the gov't would function pretty well if the liberals had a minority but liberals + NDP was more than half. Even if the conservatives win, I don't care as long as liberals + NDP is more than half. If the conservatives get elected and conservatives + bloc gets more than 50% of the seats, then there will be a lot of big changes.

Posted by Jayx1 on Apr-06-2005 03:38:

The conservatives have the best chance of forming the next government. The NDP will never rule this land and if they do i might as well just sign my paycheques over to them in full.

On the plus side, at least the NDP would be more upfront about taking my money as opposed to the liberals.
