i am setting these up tonight. they dont fit on my original stands so i had to finish off the table i built to put them on.

$319 is not a good price (each). i dont think thats right. probably a typo on your part. the dj mart special is $450/pair - %10.

i paid $450 for my pair at guitar center including tax. i know it was a little more (dj mart is charging shipping on these) but i needed a place to be able to return them if i needed to.

http://store.yahoo.com/djgear/krkrokit8package.html

if the shipping weight is 60 lbs i think it's safe to say that's the price for both speakers

holy shit. thats f-in cheap. now i feel like i got ripped off. especially since guitar center owns 51% of KRK which means its cheapest for them.

i have to call guitar center for a price match.

maybe this will answer your questions:

nice. just called guitar center. told them to go on the dj mart web site. told them to search krk rockit...click on rockit 8s x 2....

i told him i wanted a price match.

he said WOW. $319? are they in stock? i said yep, add them to your cart.

he said okay, thats our policy, bring in your receipt tonight and we'll credit you the difference.

$319 including tax for these?!?!! that HAS to be worth it.

nice looking screenshot,

got your email and took care of it. Email me if you need anything else.

ps... Sale is still on. The 10%off promo does not apply to the Rokit 8 package, nor to Denon or Pioneer Products.

pss... KRK is a subdivision of Stanton Magnetics Group.

Cheers...

Tegu, I thought you were fairly happy with your M1's.
Did you just buy these Rokit's blind, or have you at least had a listen somewhere.
What was the total price you had to pay including shipping to DK? Won't customs in your country add some kind of VAT on them?

i am happy with the alesis

the reason i cancelled the order is i've never really heard the rokit 8's in person. it was a dumb decision to rush into buying them. with such low prices and the deal ending so soon, i kind of jumped in without thinking about it. i still stand by the alesis 100%. i really have no complaints whatsoever with them. if you read up on them, the main complaint with purists is that there's too much bass for producing/mastering, but that really just makes them better for DJing and all around listening--fantastically accurate sound with a kick.

the only thing i wish the m1s did have is frequency controls on the speaker and a volume limiter to prevent them from blowing.

if i ever do upgrade i'll go mackie, but that's going to take some $$$

ps- THANKS FOR TAKING CARE OF THAT DANIEL!

True, in that case you wouldn't have to be dependant on where you place them.
