im not quite sure what you lot are getting at, but it does sound interesting, ill give it a try when i get my denon dnx.

however a different trick that ive learnt...

using an efx500...

turn the delay effect on, set it to half a beat.
set the depth at about 9 o'clock
then when u want to use the desired effect, turn the mix knob up and down with the beat, while at the same time pulling the bass down.

this gives a delayed sound, and with the bass cutting it chops it off.

to further this....

as u are chopping the bass down, gradually get it lower and lower, then when u want to stop the trick turn it back up to the middle.

continuing again.....

while doing this, select the zip function and turn on hold. slowly wind this up while delaying the bass. as the bassline is getting lower and lower it kind of makes it sound like your filtering the song off.

enjoy

something i rather enjoy doing on the efx500:
take echo, time it 4/1, mix the track out and the echo in, reverse record to other side, stop sending to the effect, and start mixing the b-side in. works really well with hardfloor stuff, and other various acid tracks

do u mean the feedback loop? shown in the zabiela video?? where it continues a 4 beat loop on and on??

Using DssDJ i always love getting one song loading it on both decks then messing around with loops, efects, phasing etc. IMO the trick of gettin two of the same songs works best with house.

basically....

select echo
set at 4/1
put depth knob round at full
leave mix knob on 0
turn on effect for exactly 4 beats

then

turn mix knob around fully
pause the cd deck, or pull fader down

now u have a continuous feedback loop, play around with this by changing the time (1/1 2/1 1/2 etc...) but it cant go back to the original seting if u do press any of these
